Dvdgg got a reaction from A 1970 Corvette in Magic The Gathering (TCG)
I have almost finished my combo Brago edh. It's all etb fun until I get a strionic resonator, then I have a lot of cheap wincons. All I fear is extremely aggro decks that might make me block things and get my creatures killed if I don't have the thopter makers in play. I have been thinking Propaganda and Ghostly Prison, but that might be a little overkill.
Also I have a trash Maraxus commander made of random cards that managed to win my first EDH game. It was fun, another played copied Maraxus, and I wasn't a threat until I swinged a 20/20 maraxus after making all his creatures unable to block me, the other player forfeited because Maraxus had shroud and I had a couple of decent blockers.
Also, they learnt to hate Heckling Fiends.

So I'm in New York City for the weekend, and I went to this big store today called Forbidden Planet. Bought 2 packs of Eternal Masters, because it's the first place I had seen them since the set released. Pulled a Sylvan Library and Mana Crypt. It was a pretty good day.

If it's your first time at a prerelease, I REALLY recommend you try and stick to just 2 colors as much as possible. Find your two strongest colors (which may or may not include your promo-that's okay!) and use those to make your deck. Only go 3-color if you absolutely have to. Trust me-every prerelease I go to where someone sits down and goes "oh, I've got this cool 4-color deck, I just couldn't decide what to take out!", I just kind of grin a bit. Try and stick with two colors, and your deck will be a lot better off for it.
But really-just have fun! Prereleases are awesome.

Just the basic stuff. Make sure you have a good mana curve, a deck full of 1 drops or 5 drops will lose to a deck with a good spread of 2-4 drops. Try to make sure that you don't spread colours too thin (for example, if you want to play a card with a cost of BBB you might need to think about how often you'll actually have three Swamps - if you're playing mainly R/W adding B just for one or two cards might be out of the question)
You can look up primers for the prerelease, depending on how deep you want to go. Look over the set if you get a chance, get a feeling for what the colours of the set do (for example, R/G has some powerful energy cards, and red/white seems to like vehicles) so you won't be overwhelmed when you crack your packs and start looking for what you'll be able to do.
Most importantly, have fun! Limited is my favourite format and if this is your first time don't stress about making a top-tier deck.

Dvdgg got a reaction from ICBMoose in The Toy Thread
Got this guy around a week ago, it's really nice.
Now I have the dilemma of either getting the Anti Mage figma, or expanding my ever-growing collection of Heroclix figures. And if I get the AM figma, I should get something else from the Valve Store.

This is it, the achieving moment in my three year long plan, all I have done for the Team Fortress 2 community has led to this moment.
When Highpass comes out, there should be a thing in a dark room behind a glass. I hope it has enough light.

Dvdgg got a reaction from Davjo_ in Dvd's never finished things
If I ever start drawing something I'll post it here, that doesn't mean I'll finish it. Even though I really should.
Until I find the other things I have done over time, have a tribute to one of the best covers ever done for our favourite heroes for hire.

The registrations have been delayed after the update news, we have whitelists to edit and decissions to make.

The Gunlance from Monster Hunter is one of my favorite weapons because its just so novel. Between the constant explosions and its invulnerable shield, you feel like the one guy driving an MI Abrams tank in a group of foot soldiers.

I cleaned my computer after it randomly died. Then it was still broken, so I turned it off and on, and that fixed it.
