Mostly because it's got some really decent blueprints to model from online, and because I've got an airsoft model of one. Initially I tried to model a fairly obscure Russian gun but the only blueprint I could find was really low res which made the edges pretty hard to judge.

It's not as if you're planning on running workstation applications anyway, for gaming a CPU isn't something you want to focus that heavily on, VERY few games will reach a CPU bottleneck with even with 4 cores/threads clocked at something like 4GHz.

Yeah, Paero really likes the fractal r5 though, so I didn't want to fight him too much on that. I won't be overclocking his CPU very hard though anyway, he can always upgrade to liquid cooling at some point and put a 360 rad in the front anyway. I thought RAM generally played quite well with Ryzen these days, since they've sorted out the teething problems with the platform?
