My water heater developed a big leak on Friday.  I managed to line up a replacement, but I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon for it to happen.  Major annoying thing about all this is needing to wash using water from a bowl, since the shower doesn't work without the pressure from the water heater.

One of the more interesting theories I've heard about WW1 over the years is probably the one that says it happened primarily because of railroad timetables. Ah, World War 1. What a war! So much more interesting than WW2, in my opinion.

Assuming you have a backyard you could just use the ol' hose. Or go into the city park at the dead of night.

I'm not going to give my exact location, but it's literally freezing outside.

Though now that I think about it the thing you use to spray dishes might be a good way to wash my head, even if I can't use it to wash the rest of my body since it'd make the kitchen all wet.

I forgot that sometimes people live in places where it gets cold. The only thing I have to worry about is the massive air pollution caused by half the state of California being on fire combined with unfortunate winds. Walking around town this evening felt like shit because every breath brought in what felt like 50% soot and it always smelled like something was on fire, which I guess it was so that's not surprising. The sun was pure red, though, and it looked really cool. I would've taken a picture but by the time I got to a suitable place it was already too dim.

This site is almost as annoying to read as the reply box of SPUFooky skin. Periwinkle on gray-speckled darker gray?

It didn't seem that bad to me. Not ideal, but not nearly as bad as

Spoiler

this.

It'd be pretty cool to be able to have a Thanksgiving where I don't have the flu.  Just once every four or five years would be okay.

Man I wish I actually liked turkey or really any thanksgiving food.. It's always made Thanksgiving kinda sucky in terms of food but meeting family is always nice.

Aside from the minor fire on the stovetop it was Thanksgiving as normal. I should pick up some fire extinguishers tomorrow... or later today is more accurate I guess. But then again dirt and salt worked and that's cheaper. And no food got ruined so can you even call it a fire?

Not even mashed potatoes?

I guess I should reword saying that turkey tastes okay at best but most other stuff I haven't really developed an opinion of because I've got trouble trying foods. I'd probably love mashed potatoes considering I like other types of potato foods, but I take a look at it and I don't want it anywhere near my mouth. No idea about stuffing.

From one picky eater to another, mashed potatoes are delicious, you should really try them. I will say don't try it with instant mashed potatoes though, science hasn't perfected that yet and it tastes a lot worse than actual mashed potatoes. I thought I'd hate stuffing at first but when I first tried it I actually really liked it.

Thanksgiving is probably the part of US culture I'm most jealous of. You guys get to have turkey TWICE a year!??

I mean you dont need it to be a special occasion to have turkey, only problem is the whole bird is kinda cumbersome to prepare, roast, and store.

Im more of a roast ham guy myself.

We dont have Thanksgiving here in hueland, but we do eat turkey (and ham, chicken, meat, a thing that I'd say its basically stuffing, and a bunch of other stuff) on both Christmas and New Year.

The last week of the year is basically 'get fat or die trying'.

I got a text saying classes were cancelled and I didn't get glee from that.

Things have changed.

Going to class sucks and all but I had plans that I can't accomplish from home.
