Thursday some team wants me to ring for a scrim, so I'd prefer Saturday if we're deadset against Friday.

The return of the revenge of gaming nights part II episode 4.

Battlefront II and Hidden: Source reproposed. Also maybe some custom TF2 game modes that we never play, like Randomizer and such. -
Oh. That's the partition that allows you to restore your computer to factory default if you horribly screw up everything. Don't touch it.
-
Can you open the W: drive?
-
That still prevents everyone from playing together, as opposed to games like Battlefront and The Ship and normal TF2 and so forth... I dun like it. I mean, you could do it, but I just don't like the idea. Also we should probably all get on a Mumble together. That would be fun.

I would like to point out that L4D is at max 8 players in a game, so I would recommend some other game if we're all to get in one game. I furthermore would like to encourage the choosing of other games by offering to put up a dedicated server for the game chosen if such is possible.

I know the unofficial patch is a bit difficult to install because you have to extract it and put it in the game directory and run the batch file installer, but both of the conversion pack installers should be normal executables. Quick guide to install Conversion Pack with patch (coming soon since GameFront is slow): [*]Download Conversion Pack (755 MB) here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/11856698/Star_Wars_Battlefront_Conversion_Pack [*]??? [*]Download Conversion Pack Patch (58.0 MB) here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/13443349/Star_Wars_Battlefront_Conversion_Pack_Patch [*]??? [*]PROFIT -
Yep, it's dead and gone. I actually wanted to create a server plugin to allow people to test different stats on weapons, but between OPN and the TF2xTreme plugin I'm neglecting... bottom line is that I should probably enlist some help to get these things done.

Why not just do Conversion Pack? I mean, that brings back all of the old maps from Battlefront (to an extent) and more of us here have Battlefront II I think. Of course, if there's a particular thing in Battlefront that you want to do disregard me completely. -
Titles should all be correct. If they're not, please shoot me .

Oh, Valve knows about it. That's why the free version VACs you.
-
Actually, I just realized that it wouldn't work unless you were perma-ubered, so it would be pretty obvious as to what was happening.
-
You can turn that off though and just get banned yourself and reported to Valve 30 times.
-
Well I do run the server that used to be appropriated for that purpose.
-
I thought that once Valve sent out the initial ban wave for a cheat, which is delayed to get as many on board as possible, anyone else detected would get banned pretty quickly after that. But then again nobody knows how VAC works completely.
-
It's one of the better-known cheat packages out there right now. There's a free version that gets you VACed and a paid version that's supposedly immune to VAC detection.
-
Strictly depends, some of the cheats are much less OP than others IIRC.

Is it wrong that I have this quiet urge to try out LMAOBOX on a throw-away account for the heck of it?

Star Wars Battlefront II with the unofficial 1.3 patch and the conversion pack with latest patch. Also Hidden: Source if the server works this time. -
Anybody playing in TF2 leagues this summer? I know that ETF2L has already kicked off, UGC is trying to have a more serious yet unimportant season, CEVO's holding some serious seasons of its own, ESEA is starting soon, and RSP says they'll have a summer season presumably starting in June as well. Personally, I'm going to finish up OPL and try to get it started for a long season beginning in July. I may also form a CEVO team with my physical friends, and if you guys show more dedication I might even think about playing RSP with you guys.

Why do you want to write a chat client? There's a whole lot of chat software out there that'll save you time and effort.

Mainly referring to the superiority complex being displayed for one format over the other. I did make my post a bit late, but the point I'm trying to make is that there is no perfect format. Each has its own downfalls and each is designed for a certain purpose. 6's is speed-and-skill-based format, Highlander is a class-and-ability-based format. Once you understand that, you can say that one format is better for one player than the other. I personally would be suited more to Highlander because I like the off-classes, but scheduling conflicts prevent me from playing on default match nights and I don't know enough people to form a team, and as a result I decided to try out 6's directly.
-
Can we all agree to disagree? 6's and Highlander are two different formats of the game. Neither is inherently superior to the other - 6's is focused on speed and skill, while Highlander is focused on the unique abilities of each class. The only reason that 6's is higher up on the perceived ladder is because it's a harder format to master. Well, with the lobby system that may all change. A good point brought up in Fully Charged yesterday was that the existing competitive community likely won't play in a lobby system - they already have an existing scene they're familiar with. One of the ideas proposed at TF.TV was the possibility of a Highlander-style 6v6 lobby system as opposed to just a Highlander system, and while it's a minority opinion, it's already apparent that whatever comes out will be much different than what the competitive community does today, and that will only help casual players to get their feet wet.
