I don't know whether to promote you on the spot or ban you from ever assuming a position of responsibility.
-
Yeah, but that's the point. What a site charges you to get rid of ads must be greater than or equal to the amount of money they expect to lose due to you not generating ad impressions. Ergo, no, it's not theft when you block ads because you're not stealing revenue, but yes, you are depriving the owner of revenue. It is remarkably similar to piracy in that respect, and technically could be construed as such because you are consuming content and denying the ability for the content creator to gain revenue.
-
Jumping in here to say: If you say that ads = completely free, then why do some sites have a subscription or one-time fee option to get rid of ads? Hm?
-
Denied, you can't sue the government, and you're not even filing lawsuits in the proper place. Although we do need to figure out what to do about this shortage of judges. Also, my sig is correct.
-
We don't currently have a trial judge to hear your case.
-
I'd probably defer if I were actually attempting to judge, but here, probably yes, but I wouldn't infract the one instance due to context and non-repetition. The subSPUF Court hasn't been used recently...

Highlighting this: OP updated to explain intent a little better.

There's nobody who's behavior is bannable, which is why we continue to resist the calls for political exiling some folks. If only I could... what I wouldn't give for a good forum game right now. Well, that was kinda the point of the rule changes. The rule changes in and off themselves are just fixing things that needed to be fixed. I actually do have to say that the shitposting rule isn't actually completely right, because what we want to prevent is people spamming threads with bad posts. As you say, we're used to the bullshit, so we won't mind the shitposting if it's infrequent, although Cactus's post applies again. But it was always like that. The only major difference is the addition of the auto tempban. Probably based on context. If in doubt, make it apparent that you're joking.

I'm not the only one behind these rule changes, we had an emergency discussion after the argument last night and this is what we came up with. I don't think I'm only speaking for myself when I say that the infighting is getting tiring. These rules mainly target the few that are controversial and the few that stir up drama about them.
-
Indeed, they got protected by the fact that these rule changes are not retroactive, so that I won't have to issue several hundred infractions for past offenses.
-
And thus the banished has returned, his mission complete.

You gave it away in a raffle to Dvdgg.

Oh, I remember you from the one time I was on the server! Hello. That list is already out-of-date, you're going to be banned for that.

Chapter 1: IT BEGINS 6 months prior It was a catastrophe. The battlements were falling down, the bridge was more or less destroyed, and the water had been marred by the residue of decaying bread and ham. A few people were hanging around, crouching in a circle together. ian strolled around, worried. Sadly, he had not the time to rebuild this mess. He remembered back to the good days, when the same area had been inhabited lovingly by a dedicated crowd. They loved each other's company and they loved the fact that they could now just have fun with each other, whenever they wanted. Sometimes they would hold events for the mutual honor of all involved. ian, by now reaching the basement, carefully pressed a button, and the entire room started shaking. Alas, all things had to come to an end. Fights broke out among the regulars, separating them into two groups which utterly set their philosophies against each other. And thus the beautiful setting was destroyed, little by little. Eventually one group had managed to win, but by then the leaders of both sides had deserted, disgusted with how things were going. And thus decay would set in. The door opened for ian, and he strolled in, walking quickly down the polished hallway. He turned sharply to his right and opened a door, where people were quietly chatting among themselves. Slowly, the area emptied and emptied, crumbling, far from the beacon of light it once was. It had all happened quickly - from peak to valley had been the space of only a few months. The hammer fell. "Sadly, it is time to close down our love."

I have no idea what you're talking about. I am, but don't let that stop you. I hope it is! Stay tuned. Yes. I can't elaborate further.

Not as if there is a real choice. The ideological divide between the parties is far less than it's made out to be. -
At least when drunk I can exude some sense of authority. That means when I'm sober a lot of people are getting the banhammer. Especially when I figure out someone got me drunk.

Amazon has a whole lot discounted right now, including some of the bundles from yesteryear. They also have Darksiders II discounted, and this may be the last chance to get it discounted ever if it goes down with THQ: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_370241282_1?ie=UTF8&docId=1000728511&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1JQYPPBW2YT4KJQ6PJRG&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_p=1475951142&pf_rd_i=1000716161

> get close to pirate ship > have companion charge onto pirate ship screaming trademark phrase > tell companion to take over pirate ship and sail off to designated meeting spot
-
Considering the careful effort to use male pronouns, this is most likely true.

I highly approve of this action.
