    Edit: Minor annoyance: hitting enter when typing makes the cursor move down two lines rather than just one. Any way to change that if I'm not acting dumb and this a normal thing?

    also I'm having general wonkiness trying to edit stacked quotes. Like cutting down old ones.

    Like in my above post, I can't easily snip out the older posts I made that you first quoted. Can that be fixed or...?

    ​I don't believe so. You could go into source if you're brave, but quotes have always been difficult to edit.

    I'll try to make quotes auto collapse, though, to mitigate the issue.

    Fixed Brain's sig. cspoiler ABSOLUTELY does not work now. 

    Also we cannot change notification settings for messages and conversations, only email settings.

    ​I added spoilers (the new ones). They're the eye icon in the editor.

    Is there any way to shuffle around the sidebar thiniges? I like the new ones a lot and having everything on the side is cool, but I think things like new threads and who is online are more important than seeing by how much Raz is beating others in the rep race.

    ​No, it's global. The order is still being adjusted though.

    ​Yeah I getcha, didn't expect it to be individually customizable. Was just hoping for what you're actually planning.

    ​Fixed the notification settings issue. I'm still learning this stuff too, unfortunately.

    Check the order now and see if it seems better.

    OH MY GOD EVILBRAIN'S SIG KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT

    Due to sigs being disrupted during the upgrade, we will give members three days to fix their sigs. After this time, sigs must be in compliance or they will face infractions.​

     

    We can't create events so you might as well disable that button if possible.

    ​You can create events, but they require approval.

    Related: don't submit dumb events to the calendar.

    IPS 4 has gone gold, and therefore we are planning to upgrade imminently (probably tonight, maybe tomorrow night, no later than the end of this weekend).

     

    Obviously, the forum will be inaccessible while this upgrade is being performed.

    It went down to one server when I was running it, but near the end of its run it was more of an event server than anything else. This was when QuickPlay was gutting everyone's server, so I'm not surprised at how it went down.

    You can hide status updates, you know.

     

    If anybody doesn't want to see it, they don't have to.

     

    Not really a good reason given the legitimate uses for status updates. We're talking about separating the wheat from the chaff.
