"Right now, home is wherever one of you live. I don't have any place to stay myself."

You push open the door, causing a bell to ring as you do.

The clerk at the register turns to you and asks "Hello. Table for one?"

Out of the corner of your eye, you think you catch the sight of Eiko and Kazuaki-san in a corner of the restaurant.

Hisako

With the chiming of a bell, you see a girl wearing a school uniform enter the restaurant. From the looks of it, it seems to be Tami.

"Ah, there she is," Egusa-san remarks.

Hisako

Egusa-san sighs while waving off a waitress.

"I'll try and think of something if it really bothers you. I know she can take things too far, but it's hard for me to really do something about that."

[Okay, so I guess since everyone is dead besides Joan, I should probably update again]

Joan, Yukari, Sen

"If that's what you want to do. If you want to take the initiative instead, all I can tell you is not to attract attention."

Nekomoto yawns.

"Though honestly, after this, I feel more like going home."

Tami

You catch sight of the restaurant a ways down the street.

Egusa-san is probably already inside.

"More than that. Normal people will only get a vague feeling, but if magical girls are in a place where a nightmare would be, they'll see it having an effect on how the area looks."

"It isn't hard to run across youma just going through everyday life, but I suppose it'd be faster if you searched for them directly. There are tsukaima out there who are skilled at things like that, but in general.. you'll probably notice when you find a youma's nightmare."

[You've probably noticed by now that updates have slowed to a crawl.

But it's the last week of school, which is currently killing me. So umm.. try and bear with my momentary incompetence for a little longer until Friday night or so.]

Tami

You slip away from the group and start making your way back into town.

It takes a few minutes from your current location, but you more or less arrive at the street of your intended destination. The restaurant is probably around here somewhere.

Hisako

"Alphard? Well, I guess that's just the kind of person she is."

Egusa-san's gaze turns up towards the ceiling for a moment.

"I don't know all the details, but Alphard's apparently lived for a pretty long time. It's like how after you've seen everything, it's all boring and tedious. And she doesn't really bother making friends anymore, so if there's ever something that really catches her eye, she's like a kid with a new toy."

Aika

"See you, Akabane-san."

Tsutsu-chan closes the door behind her. You can hear her footsteps fading as she leaves, before you finally fall back down onto the couch.

[Ganbare, Wicket]

Joan, Tami, Sen, Yukari

"I could tell you, but it's easier for you to just do it on your own. You should already know how, anyways."

True to Nekomoto's words, no exact method pops up, but the idea of being able to undo the transformation instinctively crosses Sen's mind. It's much like understanding how to ride a bicycle.

Hisako

You arrive with Egusa-san at the family restaurant. Alphard is still gone, and Aleister seems to have taken proper action for once and gone to hide somewhere.

"Welcome!"

"Umm, table for two?"

"Certainly."

A waitress directs the two of you to a table by the window and hands you both menus. It's only natural because of the time of day, but you don't see many other patrons around your age group in the restaurant.

There are a few adults, some people who look like college students, and one or two groups of friends. You get the feeling that this is the kind of place that couples might frequent.

Aika

At last, Tsukiko sighs and hangs her shoulders.

"If you really insist, then I suppose I won't pry. If you really don't want to tell me, I don't have the right to get you to tell me the reason you were absent."

She turns to the kitchen counter and places the plastic bag there.

"Well, I'll just leave the medicine here and take my leave."

Perhaps not taking it seriously, Nekomoto doesn't answer Yukari's question. He continues looking up at Sen.

"Alright, if you're sure. At the very least, I hope you can keep that reason to fight of yours in the future."

Joan's body glows with a dim, cream-colored yellow. It intensifies, and with a burst of wind and light, the sound of steel rings out.

A metallic clank announces the sudden appearance of stylized armor resembling that of western knights. There's a massive shield strapped to her arm, and for some reason, Sen's hair is braided.

Aika

Tsukiko tilts her head slightly.

"You're right, I don't. But you do, so how about I just use your phone to call Nonohara-san?"

Hisako

Aleister keeps close to you as you follow Egusa-san's lead. Alphard doesn't seem to complain about the change in plans, and a quick glance back confirms that she's disappeared again.

Before long, the high school fades into the distance as you all head into town.

Joan, Tami, Sen, Yukari

"Before I start answering questions, let me ask something first. Are you sure you want to become a magical girl, young lady?"

Tami

A message pops up soon after you send the text, showing you the address and name of the restaurant.

Hisako

"Then you can pay me back for it later. Now come on."

She takes a few steps past you and motions for you to come with.

Joan, Tami, Sen, Yukari

"But in the end, this doesn't change what you have to do, right? Or if I'd told you all everything from the beginning, would the three of you have just huddled in your rooms instead of doing anything?"

He looks directly up at Joan.

"Listen, as far as I can tell, the three of you aren't at risk of sprouting horns that won't disappear. I know it doesn't sound pretty. And I'm sorry for not telling you three, but if I'd said something early, it probably would have limited your actions."

Hisako

"Don't be silly. It'll be my treat."

Tami

A number of texts start popping up on your screen.

"Umm.. Let me think. I guess we could meet up at this family restaurant I know?"

The strange cat you assume is a tsukaima speaks up in response to Joan's inquiry.

Hisako

"Hey, Kazuaki-san, are you okay with heading to a restaurant?"

Eiko looks up from her phone again.

Joan, Tami, Sen, Yukari

Nekomoto scratches at his ears and sighs.

"I didn't think it was significant at the time. These things are rarer than you'd think."

His split tail sways back and forth.

"That aside, it's hard to say if this girl has permanent mutations or how bad they are without being able to look at her."
