Botting in D3 is everywhere. If you've ever played a public game you will have played with someone who's botting. At low levels its usually just for blood shards, bounty mats and some XP or whatever, but almost every single person at a high ranking on the leaderboards uses bots to farm Greater Rift Keystones and Bounty Materials while they sleep, so when they actually are playing they only every have to try and find a good Greater Rift. It ruins the game in a few ways. High level players are pretty much forced to bot if they want to be competetive, unless they're a livestreamer who is REALLY dedicated to the game and is willing to play all day every day for months. And low level players feel like there's no point in playing if they don't want to bot, since they know they just can't compete. The guy in the link is Gabynator, he was the first player to reach 1000 Paragon Levels (which many thought was done legit at the time). He's the most famous person to bot on D3. He got hit by the first ban wave whilst streaming, but just bought the game again and kept on botting. He's now been banned again, and will undoubtedly buy the game and start botting again immediately.
