No. they're not, and no, it doesn't matter. The audiences are completely different. My dad loves watching sports, he played a lot of rugby in his younger days, but that's never something that carried through to me. He can sit and watch rugby, tennis, golf, whatever you can think of, all day. But god knows you're not gonna convince a 60 year old scottish man to sit down and watch a game of Dota for an hour, and have him think it's an actual sport. You can argue that it just requires a different type of skill to traditional sports, but guess what, when someone says sport you think of football or whatever, and that's because that's what a sport is in our society, something that requires a pretty high level of intense physical skill. There's a reason that they're called 'e-sports' and not just 'sports', and that's because like it or not they're NOT regular sports.

Founder of Grooveshark was just found dead, really fucking sad considering Grooveshark itself was shut down only a couple of months ago. Really was the best music streaming site around. -
It depends on the kind of fleet that is being fielded and the size of it generally. In the scale and type of fleet I was in last night there's very little twitch based actions, you've gotta be on the ball with locking and attacking the correct target and positioning yourself correctly within the battle, but a lot of that is handled by the fleet commander. In the smaller scale, more individual player skill intensive fleets that I normally fly in there's a lot more manual piloting and a lot relies on fast reactions and decent micromanagement of your modules. I was so fucking hyped for Gamerbee to win, he's taken second and third place so many times and he works harder than ANY player I know of. Eliminating Daigo, Tokido and Infiltration in one tournament is absolutely insane. No disrespect to Momochi but I really don't feel as though he should have won. He did though, and he won fair and square, but the stick problems must have REALLY thrown off Gamerbee. It really is a shame since Gamerbee has considered retiring, but I honestly hope he doesn't. I've been supporting him since the first tournament I saw him in, and him picking up Elena before anyone else really knew how good she was really solidifies how much he knows about the game. One of the worst bits was seeing James Chen crying at the end, like he said, EVO started out as some tiny thing in an Arcade, and now it's held in the same place as the Poker world championships, get's 2200 people signing up JUST for street fighter, and has over 220k people watching the SF Grand Finals. It's really cool to see what's happened to it. To top it all off Gamerbee's posted this on twitter.

Oh my fucking God, Street Fighter At Evo was the hypest most intense edge of your seat heat breaking experience fucking EVER I'll post what happened in a few hours because it's 6AM and I woke up at 2:30am to watch it. I highly recommend that if you have any interest whatsoever you go check out what happened.

Street Fighter V will only come on one disk, and will have no extra versions. So no more "Ultra Street Fighter V Omega Turbo Arcade x MAHVEL Edition" jokes. They also say that extra costumes and characters released after the launch roster of 16 characters will be available to buy with an in game currency gained from playing matches.

Simple. You don't. Titans are the largest ships in the game, and cost roughly £900 (which is roughly 60 Billion ISK) but they're provided by your corporation (guild) or your Alliance to be used in VERY specific times, and the corps and alliances big enough to be able to afford a Titan have ways of getting crazy amounts of ISK, so the player that flys the Titan isn't actually the owner of the ship. They're used so little, and very rarely get destroyed. The stories you hear of thousands of dollars of stuff being lost are so incredibly rare because they involve thousands, or tens of thousands of players losing massive amounts low value ships, alongside large alliances losing a few high value ships. The average player doesn't fly anything even CLOSE to the value of the largest ships. Maybe ships that cost £15 at MOST (and would only get destroyed if the person flying them was dumb as shit). The thing is the cost of a ship doesn't correlate to how good it is. For example when I last played I was flying stuff that cost roughly 5 million ISK per ship (so about £0.075) but was useful because I would be one of the people scouting systems and engaging fights for the rest of my fleet. tl;dr: if you can afford to subscribe to eve then the amount that you would lose by getting your ship destroyed is so small that it probably doesn't even matter to you.

EVO organisation is dumb this year. Putting all the SF4 pools on friday, then having the finals late at night on Sunday because "Mahvel always brings in more viewers" even though it only does that because it's always at like 3am for European Viewers and monday morning for Asian viewers. Meanwhile Smash gets 2 fucking games I'm fucking mad at that, like why the fuck isn't there a Third Strike tournament that isn't a side tournament. But yeah, shitty organization aside I'm super hyped. I'd like to see PR Balrog do well this tournament, especially since he was considering retiring after this EVO. I'd REALLY like to see Gamerbee do well but i dont think that's happening. Seeing Valmaster do well would be cool because iirc he's the only big Chun-Li player who's attending (unless Brolylegs is there). It'd be cool to see Daigo do well and prove he's not washed up, but only retard think that. Our boys Infiltration or Poongko would be cool to see. Ryan Hart would be cool to see for that UK representation. I'll make sure to keep you guys updated on which epic plays happen because im sure u all care (◕‿◕✿)
