I'd much rather play a not very good game for a good story than read a badly edited book for one. Sure, there's a point where genuine unplayability could turn me off of it, but I would willingly deal with some dull gameplay to knw what happens next (though I suppose an argument could be made that I'm not really playing the game for the game itself, making a bad game? "Rukus" is the stupidest thing on that list, and a lot of that list is pretty stupid I did meet a kid named Odin once and I thought that was pretty cool.

Unskippable cutscenes can be a butt, but I feel like the sheer number of options leaves plenty available for the not-story-wanters. And hell, I like to know what's going on in a game world beyond the mechanics. And that's the thing: at the end of the day it's subjective.

I had a weird one A guy I knew was planning to murder my gf's ex so I decided to go all vigilante-mode and stop the murder. I dressed in a ghostbusters costume and made a plan with the help of my former band and choir teacher (who in the dream was wearing a floral scarf) and we set up an ambush involving steam-fired guns of some kind. The ambush was at my town's elementary school but the shitty bark-chip playground was now a really nice swimming pool with cool waterslides and stuff. Woke up before anything actually happened.
