Moose's Stupid Wrong Opinions: Genji: Fantastic specialist for breaking certain types of holds. Beyond that, probly just a really good pubstomp hero. Counters anyone who just wants to spam bullets from a safe spot, like McCree and Bastion and whatnot. McCree: Generalist damage class. He's just damn good at killing dudes. Potential reinhardt hard counter since you can stun over his shield if you learn the angle. Pharah: Generalist damage and area control. Very rarely is there a situation where rockets wont do a thing. Fucks on most of the immobile heroes who cant reach her, reaper especially seems to do not shit to her. Reaper: Specialist pick class and hold breaker. Beats up on tanks and bastions but is too dependant on reliably getting close to run 24/7. Soldier 76: Generalist utility + damage. Best when with the bulk of your team, the "combo" if we dont mind stealing tf2 terms. He pokes people freely and in relative safety. Ult lets him counter highly mobile dudes who like to juke around, such as pharah. Tracer: Specialist pick class in the same vein as reaper and genji. Seems a bit safer than both. Bastion: Specialist damage and area denial. Doesn't always have a good place to be, but I'm sure by now we have all been smacked around by ones in an okay-to-great place. Hanzo: Generalist mobile damage dealer. Good as a flank class. Ult is great for breaking shield-heavy holds. radar arrow is a godly utility. Junkrat: Generalist damage and area denial. He's really fucking good, what a class. Gets from point a to b fast, good in combo or on flank, can outplay dudes hard with his traps and detpack, steady damage that can fuck with stuff like bastion who needs line of sight, and that ult can shred teams. Mei: Specialist utility and area denial. Tankiness+self heal and immunity makes her into kind of a bruiser class. She's right on the edge of being a generalist I think. Counters the hell outta D.Va, has a good game vs nuke-ulters due to immunity and/or walls. Torbjorn: didnt actually play him but he seems cool, molten cores are scary Widowmaker: Generalist pick class. Its a sniper and you can snipe people and then those people are dead and them being dead is good. D.Va: Specialist pusher with great mobility. Needs a team comp that can quickly capitalize on the space she makes. Defense matrix is great at spam-stopping. (also can we just talk about her lore for a sec. The robots are rising, lets arm a nerdy RTS player, who is probably completely mentally stable and makes good life decisions as all people in the often mocked and high-stress job of being esports pros do, with a single high-firepowered mech that controls almost nothing like an RTS. God bless the human race.) Reinhardt: Generalist tank. Probably the best go-to combo tanking class if you don't need something specific that Winston or Zarya does. Denies a hell of a lot of damage, makes space vs snipers and turrets, and isn't half bad at hitting dudes. Had fabulous hair once. Roadhog: Specialist bruiser and pick class. The flank tank, you cant really afford to stand in the open with the combo and you don't necessarily need to be near the healer. Good at countering bastion. Pulls in general are a really high impact ability. Winston: i didnt play him much but I think hes p close to being a generalist tank. Zarya: Specialist combo tank. Shields are great since they seem to cleanse crowd controlly things. Use her to counter mei and roadhog. Cute. Lucio: The generalist healer support. Overall the support that does the most work in any given situation, I think. Mercy: Generalist healer support. Not quite as noticeably steady of an effect as lucio, but safe and her ult can potentially be the highest impact shit in the game. Symmetra: Specialist area denial and utility. Teleporters are great of course. Shooting through shields also is great. Zenyatta: Specialist healer + damage class. The artillery support. Counters most tanky dudes. Can't keep up with mercy or Lucio in healing and hes super squishy, so I prefer him on a team with lots of self sustain or safety from shields. Ult is always incredibly useful.

Though I'm still not sold on the pixar art, I really like the way the characters are animated. Zenyatta and Junkrat especially are a joy to watch.

I tried the vidyagame. It was enjoyable, but I have a couple issues: 1. my computer runs it like ass. Not the games fault, my computer is the ass in this situation, but the grainyness wonked up character recognition for me a few times. 2. it seems... distressingly easy, I guess? I found myself getting a 5 kill as zenyatta utterly on accident. Idunno. I'm a pyro main so maybe I just have a phobia of properly implemented aiming systems. 3. Tracer is obnoxious and someone was playing her every game The good: if it wasnt on my ass laptop it would be very pretty. The pixar artstyle isn't my favorite thing, but it all works well and looks nice as a whole. Feels less like tf2 than I feared it might, meaning I dont hafta choose between one or the other. The game I was most strongly reminded of was actually the old Star Wars Battlefronts. Which is good. Sound cues are really good and clear. I like the detail of the environment, I wanna load up a map and just fuck around in it seeing what I can break and whats traversable. Zenyatta is easily best overwatch by a mile, I feel so incredibly useful as him. Mei and Roadhog were the others that I found particularly enjoyable. add me im ICBMoose#1953
