it's a kind of role playing event where a lot of people that spend the same amount of time outdoors as we spend indoors get together every 4 years, select a country using a process that I don't know, bankrupt the country to set up I guess something like a giant stadium, make it hell on earth for everyone near the stadium to live their normal lives and do athletic things while laughing at the countries that show up with the worst athletes. I think I covered everything. edit: also, cuz of terroists, they're mounting these babies on top of apartment buildings and stuff which some people apparently don't like. Heck, if I had that on top of my house, I'd think it was friggin' awesome, but maybe that's cuz I'm weird :/
