I think there's several advantages to this. If you look at the thread back on SPUF before Janobi safety locked it, there was a whole lot of negative responses to it, and flame wars starting from both the people overreacting against it, and the people over reacting for it. I'm kinda indifferent to it, as I've said before, the axetinguisher one was more fun, but I think it'd be safer to have it here. Chances are, if it stays there, the ragewars will spiral out of control again, and it will have to be locked again. Thoughts?:thought:INTERNET DRAMA :rage:

well, despite not knowing much about PCs, I do have the experience points of having had to deal with 2 faulty power supplies, and your problem doesn't sound like that. With the first power supply, the PC just plain wouldn't boot up. With the second one, it would boot up fine and everything, but would shut down once I started playing a game or something. HERE'S WHERE I START MAKING RANDOM GUESSESIt sounds like your PC starts to boot up, but then detects that something is wrong, (possibly memory or video card as Ian pointed out) and so it shuts down to prevent damage

well, I agree with the whole opening the floodgates thing, but it all boils down to, I don't think the huffnapping thread was a good idea :/ at the very least not so soon after the axetinguisher thread 5 scrap says the flamewars will be back up in earnest when the thread gets started again if i lose the bet, I'm totally not paying up >.>

well, not only are there people against, it, but it tends to spiral out of control very quickly, which can lead to disastrous results. If you posted it here, you could just invite all the participants, and spare SPUF from even more rage than it usually gets.
