Bleh. I want to be excited about this, I really do, but...I just don't see how a Half-Life or Portal movie could possibly work. Both feature a silent protagonist and rely heavily on the idea of the player driving the narrative, so the movies will either: 1. Involve a whole lot of Gordon/Chell being eerily quiet while people/computers talk at them, or 2. Not revolve around Gordon/Chell at all, and from there it's not such a stretch to change everything else we know and love about the games.

I think it'd be really cool to have the backstory or some of the side characters worked out in the movie, with maybe occasional gordon/chell.
