No, no, nothing like that. Lambda and I already broke up over a separate issue, and nothing even happened beyond just talking about feelings I've been having but felt guilty even talking about. -

So I've been talking to a friend of mine this week, and I found out I'm polyamorous. I still don't know what I think about this. -

Merry Christmas everyone. -
It kinda depends. If you're really into story, the story of KH is convoluted, silly, and reeeeally cheesy. As far as the gameplay goes, Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are a bit more like a normal RPG, but KH2 is basically a hack n slash game. Chain of Memories is a dungeon crawler/card game. You'd either love it or hate it. I haven't played Re:Coded yet so I can't speak for it. 358/2 Days is the only one I'd describe as bad. Not the worst game ever, but not worth playing.

Played Cloud on the Miiverse stage. Miiverse is preeeeeeeetty salty right now.

I'm clearly having trouble explaining this, so I'll just show you the ability chart. With this ability list, assuming you don't power level, none of the game breaker combos will show up by the time you reach The End of the World. Which is different than the first game where, for example, Second Chance shows up really early if you pick shield.
-
Assuming you are leveling normally, you'll only get one MP Rage, and only with the staff, before Ansem. Similarly, Second Chance will only show up late game with the shield. A few abilities have had AP and MP requirement changes. MP Gift requires 2 MP instead of one, meaning Goofy can't give endless cure anymore. ...Second Chance only shows up with the Shield? So, eh, Sephiroth is literally unpossible to beat now? I was pretty sure you actually REQUIRED Second Chance to survive Descend, Heartless Angel. No no, before fighting Ansem. Other than the MP and AP requirement changes, this stuff only applies to the main game.

It is, but only because Sora's abilities were re-balanced. Other than that, the actual damage dealt and taken seems to be the same, at least to me.

Huffmite? I could see that. -
Undertale was nominated for three categories at The Game Awards. Somehow none of them are for soundtrack.

Despite knowing that the Steam controller is perfect for someone like me, it has still managed to surprise me. One big way is the how the haptic feedback is applied to the left trackpad in a wasd setup. I actually feels like my thumb is moving a across button when switching from, say, w to w+a. Makes it much easier to know where exactly the next direction is on the trackpad. After having to try to map wasd to an analogue stick in the past, this is a welcome change. 3D platformers seem to be hit or miss with the left trackpad. Sonic Generations in particular is really hard to play with it. I may just not have it configured right, but the slightest movement causes me to careen into a pit. After getting the link configured right, it's working very well for me. I was fortunate enough that we already have an Apple TV set up in our house, which has an Ethernet cable plugged into it. So I was able to set it up and test it with that. It's really nice. Really smooth and really crisp. Only issue I have is that, since my computer monitor is 1440x900, the image doesn't fill the entire TV.

After spending a few hours getting used to the Steam Controller's track pads, I think I can say this for certain. I love this thing, and I can't see myself going back to the Xbox controller or kb/m for any game. Thank you, Vavle. The Steam Link is another story, at least until I can work out the kinks. Getting that to work has been a pain.

Smash Run just makes me wish they'd make a Kirby Air Ride U already.

Necroing because Nintendo is taking down tool-assisted speedruns on YouTube. They mostly targeted Super Mario World romhacks so it was initially thought of as trying to silence competition for Super Mario Maker, but emails to the video makers stated it was because they were TAS's. Since most TAS's are made using an emulator, Nintendo says it violates their copyright. Verdicts still out on if TAS's using actual consoles will be left alone.

I'm almost certain Splatoon is my most played Wii U game. Loads a fun.
