  1. Rose was a self insert fic,

So that's why all the girls I know absolutely love Rose. I thought that whole romance thing was a bunch of shit.If you want to get into Doctor Who, just start with the 2005 reboot, the original isn't really necessary. And it doesn't get very good 'till Tom Baker as the Doctor which is a fair way in.

  2. Just wondering-what's the difference between this and Half Life: Source? Because I haven't played any of the HL games yet, was gonna start with HL:S. But if this is a better version, maybe I'll play this instead.

Half Life: Source was pretty much a direct port, so new engine, a few new textures and models (lots of the gold source textures are still used), and that's it. Honestly, it doesn't look much better.Black Mesa Source is completely re-done from the ground up. So everything is completely new (sounds, textures, models). The gameplay isn't a direct port either, and many of the levels will have been adjusted to (hopefully) be better. Xen -which isn't coming out straight away- is going to be completely remade into a game-length segment. I think On A Rail also had large changes, as well as many of the less popular segments of the original game. I haven't played it yet, but even so I can say with some certainty that Black Mesa Source will be far greater than Half Life: Source.I'm just wondering if it'll beat the original (that I still play often today).

  3. All of those, minus the random Youtube guy (Did he seriously get a community weapon?), were apart of a website that is a valuable resource to the community or helped spread TF2 to others.Huff and Slacks just do threads that are barely related to TF2 on a forum of people who already play the game. There is a huge difference.:pinkiegasm:

Hey! SPUF is a valuable resource to the... Maybe you're right.

  4. SPUF=/=TF2 community. That's the biggest problem here.Slacks may do a bunch of things on the TF2 forum, but they never leave SPUF, and are mainly just silly stories that don't do anything for TF2. I doubt any of Huff's suggestions have impacted Pyro directly. Last time I checked the Fire Axe is still a direct downgrade after all. Have they improved the TF2 community at all? No, not really. SPUF, yes, but not TF2.If they did get something, then it'd turn into a Huff/Slacks hate fest, and a bunch of other forum goers yelling "WHERE'S MY ITEM? I DID MORE THAN THEM!!!." Drama that would make the Kritskast fiasco look like a hippy bonfire.:pinkiegasm:

I agree with you, but a similar argument could be given to:Ubercharged.net =/= TF2 CommunityFriendly Fire =/= TF2 CommunityKritzKast =/= TF2 CommunityYouTube Videos =/= TF2 CommunityHalfLife2.net =/= TF2 CommunityPC Gamer =/= TF2 CommunityNerf Now =/= TF2 CommunityOf course, to counter my own argument, those people are generally founders or staff of the various websites/podcasts. If Huff/Slacks founded SPUF they should probably get a community weapon. Also, wasn't Slacks trying to get a community weapon, by doing everything you could do to get one (make a map, submit responses, make a web comic etc)? How's that going?

  5. Guys here's something that may make you want the scrap launcher.Load 3 rockets, and every rocket loaded afterward explodes. Who the ♥♥♥♥ needs a wall, if you can rocket jump off your own damn body LIKE A MAN!Oh also you can take a quick fix medic with you, as every blast also boosts the medic.

I have to get this now, just to do rocket jump maps. Also, anyone used the quickfix since the update? Is the rocket jumping as a medic useful? It seems bloody annoying from what I've seen...

  6. What's everyone think about the new Rocket Launcher? I've only been attacked by it, and have never used it myself, and it seems really powerful. Admitingly, I was playing engineer, and it seems he can kill you and your sentry just by poking out from a corner with three rockets loaded which sullied my view of the weapon. How's rocket jumping work with it? Is it hard to aim? Is it the ultimate crutch weapon? Or does it have a place in skillful play?

What? Making the GRU NOT be an overpowered piece of shit isn't good to you?

    Ding dong, Tomigruvich is dead!

God no! Nerf that thing to the ground. Gosh, get rid of all upsides and leave the -6hp in for all I care. I just want to be able to GRU Jump to places normally inaccessible. Now it's just a boring, skilless piece of crap like the rest of the Heavy.

I was maybe halfway through a Heavy skill map that used the GRU Jump in it, and now that's all useless. A similar thing happened when they nerfed the sandvich. So that's sort of why I'm pissed.

  8. i have finnaly found the perfect forum for memost of the users like my comics and find them funnyi dont have to worry about the moderators deleting my comics as the gms and even the devolpers ask to be charaters in my comics

Isn't that subSPUF...Sorry to see you go Chesse! Come back one day!:(

  9. Voted no, mainly because I can't stand the company of people that are high (let's include drunk in there too) and this would only increase the likelyhood of that me being in said company.

Never smoked, never done any sort of illegal/harmful drug and I don't drink. I'm a good boy. :D

I'm sort of like you, that I don't like drugs, cigarrettes or even alcohol all that much. However, I'm a bit of a believer in freedom of choice, as long as it doesn't cause damage to others or inhibit their freedom of choice. And as far as I know (which admittingly isn't much) marijuana is more or less just as bad as alcohol and smokes. And it seems that cigs are slowly being 'phased' out, with less people becoming smokers and more restrictions being brought in (here in Australia at least), so even whilst it's legal in fifty years time barely any people might actually smoke. In [my] ideal scenario, a similar thing would happen with pot.

I voted yes because the vast majority of crime (in this country at least; dunno about America) is related to drugs in some way, whether it's dealing drugs, growing drugs, stealing money for drugs, killing people to steal their money for drugs, killing people because they didn't pay you for drugs et cetera, et cetera. Legalize a major drug like cannabis, and the crime rate will inevitably plummet. Not to mention, the government could tax the shit out of it and get more money to pay for... well, useful stuff, but that's already been said.

No, it IS a vast majority. A large percentage of the crime rate is drug related, and subsequently a giant chunk of our law enforcement budget is spent on drugs. And pot accounts for a huge majority of it.

What would be nice (but probably impracticle/impossible) would be if all that budget for fighting drugs was used to create the 'perfect' drug. One with no side affects, was not addictive, still created a sense of euphoria but without making the person completely unable to look after themself. What we need is Soma from Brave New World, but that might actually have terrifying consequences...
