Vice City is my favorite game. I'm a sucker for the '80s, but even if I wasn't I'd still love the hell out of the game. Vice City took everything that was great from GTA 3, greatly improved it, and themed it after the '80s.San Andreas was great as well, but it just missed something. Perhaps it was because Los Santos was tedious and the whole 'hood thing that went on was redundant. I mean the entire hood sans Sweet just backstabs you, so why the hell did I need to return there near the end of the game?GTA IV is where Rockstar took the game too serious and they felt compelled to add unnecessary realism aspects to the game, which actually made the game look more unrealistic. I mean they ever heard of seat belts in Liberty City? As soon you bump onto someone else's car they just fly through the windshield. Also the lack of a tank and powerful aircraft made GTA IV kinda dull and the endgame less fun to dick around.The Lost and Damned was way too repetitive. About every (side-)mission was just hop on bike, shoot other bikers, get back to clubhouse.Now The Ballad of Gay Tony is where Rockstar got it right. It brought back the over-the-top style the GTA 3 era games had. It had hilarious characters such as Mori and Yusuf. The missions were fun to play (and replay!)It had a tank (although it's easy to destroy it) and several new helicopters including the Buzzard which had machine guns and rockets built-in. And you can dance in a gay club, let's not forget about that.

I completed the game during the summer of 2008. Roughly 1600 deaths on Hard difficulty. I felt like a machocist when I beat . Then I forgot to during the credits.

Other than the horrible overused memes, is there any reason to play this game?

I don't know how it works for 3rd Gen games but if the internal battery dies on you for 2nd Gen games it will erase your save and you can't save anymore until you replace the internal battery or you hook up your Gameboy Advance (SP works best with this because you can turn the light on the Gameboy off) to a recharger, leave the game running for 4 days straight and pray the internal battery works again.

You need to ditch ctf maps, man.

Except that the battery is still working his butt off even when you're not playing the game. You gotta thank the in-game clock for that.

OP4 was challenging on hard, but it was definitely doable. Half-Life 1 itself wasn't that difficult on hard, and Blue Shift was just piss easy. I do like Opposing Force myself, hopefully Adrian Shephard makes a return in a future Half-Life game.

Some hats and weapons to good friends of mine. Using this I found out that Nitzan hasn't crafted the items he got from my Secret Saxtons, which makes me a happy man. :)Maybe I should use Secret Saxtons more often on the nonsrs server. :3

I own every Strange weapon that has been released so far. As soon as a new crate gets released with new Stranges I lose my nirvana. :x

Yeah, HLDJ's built-in audio converter was one of the reasons I switched from HLSS (back when it was still available for download - lol) to HLDJ. A lot of servers use the 'new' Steam voice codec which does not support loading an audio track from a file.The nonsrs server has sv_use_steam_voice set to 0 meaning that it uses the old codec which is compatible with HLDJ.

After the intro from the Wizard I expected Super Mario Brothers 3 gameplay. I guess the original Mario works too.

I do not approve of this railgun. The model looks crappy, and it's way too big for personal use. Also, upon firing that railgun it doesn't create a beautiful spiral of white and blue colors.
