    Dota General

I have made $50 off the unusual I sold on the market. I am no longer burdened by the corruption of it, and am moving on to dota. WHO WANTS TO GIVE ME DOTA CRATES!?

And on that day, Arin left a broken man.

Ohhhh yes. Gabe from Penny Arcade is playing Dota. I can't wait to see it consume his life.

Just played against a Troll Warlord, whom I swear was actually playing the part unintentionally. He got REALLY mad when our team turned around our terrible early game, and moreso when their magnus abandoned.

    Dota Scoreshot thread

First the mirana and venge leave after venge starts feeding, then the other team gets too cocky and starts feeding like mad. Then once the three of us get fat, 2 of their teammates abandon and we pounded their sorry asses all the way to the ancient. And to think I would have picked huskar if they hadn't first. Shadow fiend was huge credit to team. Please rep me for my awesome games.

There was someone who dressed in sparkly purple spandex and did the enigma wave whenever there was a black hole. Look at :45

For those of you who vaguely care, I've been completely indoctrinated. All hail our doto overlords.

I can't watch Sunshine. I can't watch any LP in which the player is significantly worse than me at a game. Arin is just bad. So bad. At Sunshine. And don't even get me started on Ross.

Aaaaaand I lost connection to the dota 2 community thingy.

    Anime General Discussion

Man, when I started watching Big O, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I don't regret it though. Seriously though go watch it. It's got Steve Blum, and a soundtrack to die for.

    Regularly Played Games

Reluctantly adding Dota 2 to the list of frequently played games.

I've been using mainly the stock and backburner lately. Secondary and melee weapons are supposed to be for utility.

    Payday 2

I played this through to the level cap, 25. Buddha's Observations -Gunplay is super tight -UI doesn't get in the way -Waaaaaaay more strategical choice involved compared to the first game -Skill trees provide different gameplay styles. One for stealth, one for dakka, one focused on leadership, and one focused on equipment use. At level 100 you can pretty much fully invest in one tree and most of the way through another. -Stealth is a viable option for more than one heist -DJ's computer sucks -About as many heists as the first game, but random elements are changed every time like in L4D, boosting the replay value. -The variable difficulty makes a lot of difference, in both investment and reward -Progression is a bit slow at first, but picks up at about level 15 when you can pull off bigger heists with more experienced players -Game is prone to crashing, which is really bad considering that the game revolves around very large time and skill investments. Good thing it's still a beta. And there is absolutely no reason you should rate a beta. As far as masks go, I have no idea what they put in there beyond a few masks of mythological creatures, and some patterns provided by Valve (Portal, TF2).
