  1. May as well make a thread for this just in case. Here's the stream hub.

8:14 AM - Purgatorio: first match of the day
8:15 AM - Purgatorio: a nobody up against the best abel in the world
8:17 AM - Purgatorio: welcome to EVO 2015 you got perfected 3 times

  2. Even the spinoff games are worth playing, though the second Edgeworth game can only be played through a fan translation as of now. It's really well done; they edited some of the pictures so it makes more sense to English speakers. Also they can say "wine" instead of "juice."

As with most series you'll want to play them in release order. That's 1, 2, 3, Apollo Justice, and Dual Destinies for the main series.

A lot of people don't like PL vs AA but I really enjoyed it. The Layton parts are kinda lacking in comparison to the mainline games but the courtroom sections made up for it to me. The court music in that game is way better than a lot of mainline songs IMO.

  3. So I know I told you how hexes are terrible and for scrubs, but... hexes benefit from both faith and int, depending on the exact spell in question. Pyromancy too, actually. Consider taking up the other two schools of casting.

  4. Nintendo's event was downright disappointing. Squeenix was awkward but we got some good stuff I guess. Sony is still winning E3 unless a certain something happens at the PC conference.

  5. I'm pretty impressed with Ryu. Shame his colors are based on his SSFII turbo colors and not shoto clone colors but he's quite obviously more like SFIV ryu with the focus attack and metsu hadouken (and SF3's shin shoryuken).

  6. There was one time I played Munchkin with my cousins and it was the worst because one of them wasted so much time trying to explore every possibility to win without even being fun about it, which leads me to the mindset that you can't take back cards you play. With friends and closer relatives, though, Munchkin is great. I own a set of Munchkin Booty and a few expansions for it.

I've also played Fluxx once which wasn't fun only due to the fact that one the players (my mom, of course) was too drunk to keep up, and we had to explain every rule change as they came up multiple times. At least I won. Definitely a game you want to play mostly sober.

  7. Old Blood is pretty good. It's about on par with Blood Dragon in terms of quality as a standalone expansion. It doesn't have nearly as much focus on story, and instead focuses on chapter-to-chapter gameplay. The optional stealth is still there and still works as it should; take out the officers first and you won't have to face backup troops when clearing the area out afterwards.

I keep expecting there to be jump scares but there don't seem to be any. I suppose that's something to be said about the atmosphere of some areas. What would normally be jump scares are offset by the game ramping up the tension beforehand appropriately.
