Sinnoh had the VS. Seeker. In HGSS, if you wanted a rematch, you had to register them in the phone. This had the side effect of roughly six asinine phone calls for every one rematch. Per person. And (more annoyingly) the casino with the good TMs were, as mentioned, Satan. Also (this one was seriously jarring to me) they changed something about the radio tower mission. Specifically, in the originals, you could go to Blackthorn City, complete with ice route with fantastic mons, before facing the radio tower. The only thing you couldn't do was the gym. In HGSS, for no reason whatsoever, they blocked that. Now it's "follow the plot brick road." Plus their increasing assumption that nobody has ever played Pokemon before and giving forced tutorials every six minutes (more gen 5 than 4, but still)
