I've had a couple lucid dreams, mostly due to a cue I've found: In dreams, I'm physically incapable of running for who-knows-what reason. This leads to me either (a) realizing i'm dreaming and waking up within a minute or two (i think) ( getting low-level control of my dream. As in, I can fly... roughly a foot off the ground and extremely slowly. I don't even know.

Any idea if the set will be cheaper after release? Like, is the preorder stuff what they're actually selling it for?

I just had a crazy realization about Ghetsis and N's teams in BW1. Ghetsis specifically designed his team to beat N's. Hydreigon for the legendary dragon. Cofagrigus to bait in Zoroark. Seismitoad to take down Carracosta. Bisharp for Archeops. Eelektross for Klinklang. And Bouffalant has moves for four of the six, including the dragon. The developers actually thought his team through that much.

Yes, I'm doing this. I'm watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha for the first time, which I've been told is basically an action series cunningly disguised as, well, Magical Girl. And I'm writing my reactions stream-of-consciousness style for you all to stare blankly at. Enjoy. Episode One So within ten seconds we see blood. Record for a "magical girl" show, I think. Then some girl pulls out a Philosopher's Stone to cast a rune spell-seal-thing against a… I have no idea what that thing is. Aaand it failed and the monster got away. And the girl's hurt and tired and um… turning into an ermine? Chamo, is that you? Ep 1 title card: Is this what you call a mysterious encounter? Alarm by cell phone. See, this is why I use an alarm on the other side of the room. It makes me wake up. So this must be Nanoha, I assume. She had an odd dream. And by that I mean foreshadowing. …Grade-schooler protagonist? When the action hits, this could get awkward. Oh my god. Living parents who are not dysfunctional. That is a distinct rarity in fantasy. Other siblings are in the dojo training with wooden swords. And they're normal too, college student and high school student. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's actually amazing that this family is in no way screwed up. ~SchoolBus~ Friends, a blonde and a purple-hair. Arisa and Tsukimura. wait Cram school? For grade-schoolers? Meanwhile, at school… What Would You Like To Do When You Grow Up? Why are they asking ten-year-olds (or whatever) this? Other than the foreshadowing, I assume. So Nanoha's family owns a coffeeshop, but she's Desperately Looking For a Purpose in Life. aaand hijinks walking home from school... gratuitous english "Be Quiet" yelled at a barking dog. I love and hate gratuitous english. It's like anime uses English as a decoration rather than, well, language. no wait, going to cram school. They're ten. (I think) Oh hey, astral vision. And apparently she dreamed about crazy wizard girl from the prologue earlier. Voices In My Head Interesting music here, and the two friends don't hear anything. So when she runs off in search of the voice, they're naturally surprised. Oh hey, the injured girl-ermine. Girlmine. Sideways letterbox. And they're looking for a vet, it seems. That eye catch was creepy. Everyone calling out to Nanoha. Girlmine's okay. Or apparently it's a ferret. Magical girl turned ferret. And awake now. D'awww, it's licking her hand and probably giving her rabies. (It actually is really adorable) And it's back to sleep. And now for cram school. I'll stop complaining about this when it becomes less bizarre. Passing notes and ignoring what sounds like basic math. Well, okay, that's not too bad for their age. I'll stop commenting on the cram school thing. (also I assume it's irrelevant after this point) Back at home, she's asking for approval to keep the ferret. And the dad has no idea what a ferret is. Ooookay. But it seems like they have no problems with it. A happy, functional, non-dead family. Amazing. The animation in that scene was bizarrely fluid for a simple dinner DEAR GOD HER EYES ARE LIKE HALF THE SIZE OF HER HEAD ALL OF A SUDDEN meanwhile in the twilight zone, another vision Nanoha, a voice asking for help, and a spinning wheel-spoke thing. Danger Cometh Ferret-girl… is not having the best day, as evidenced by the demon thing trying to maul her. Hopefully Nanoha got the message, it thinks. And she did. Holy crap, the animation on Nanoha running to the vet is weirdly fluid again. Not bad, but just out of place. ow screeching sounds Fuzzy-Demon used Body Slam and missed. Repeat once or twice before ferret leaps into the air to evade a hit. Nanoha catches the ferret, who promptly talks and surprises her. She immediately runs away and asks the ferret for advice, which is actually intelligent. Hey, if a talking/telepathic animal jumped into my arms and told me to run from the monster, I'd do it. See, this scene is just giving me all kinds of Kyubey vibes even though we've seen it's (presumably) benevolent. Make A Contract, Nanoha… Devil Incoming Have a Philosopher's Stone, Nanoha. okay this soundtrack is fantastic. Invocation of contract activation begin! Repeat After Me Raging Heart, Set Up! wait the thing's sentient? She's powerful, apparently. And now ferret's telling her to picture something that'll work here. In other words… ~Transformation Sequence~ complete with awkwardly gratuitous loli fanservice Success. Amusingly, she's confused by the costume change. But no time to think on that, A Demon Draws Near! Command? Okay, I'm impressed. It's not much on the action quotient yet, but it's really good at the setup.

And then Giratina was @#$%ing impossible to catch. 3 rate, plus that intangibility-smack move. and then they just gave you Zekrom/Reshiram in the next games, so hey.
