That's the first episode? that's the first anime then, Brotherhood's first episode was a bizarre filler-esque thing. The first anime is about the same as the manga/Brotherhood for about twenty episodes (out of 51), then it diverges into its own plot (author didn't want them doing a decade of filler). It's (in my opinion) not quite as good as Brotherhood, but it's still quite good in its own way.

The recent one (which adheres to the manga and is fantastic) has the subtitle Brotherhood.

So I just marathoned Neon Genesis Evangelion. For those unaware, it's a mech anime in which everyone is depressed and it ends with a Tang apocalypse. So now I need to counterbalance. Recommend stuff with non-depressing, satisfying conclusions. If it helps, FMA: Brotherhood is my favorite thing in the history of things.
