That's the first episode? that's the first anime then, Brotherhood's first episode was a bizarre filler-esque thing. The first anime is about the same as the manga/Brotherhood for about twenty episodes (out of 51), then it diverges into its own plot (author didn't want them doing a decade of filler). It's (in my opinion) not quite as good as Brotherhood, but it's still quite good in its own way.

The recent one (which adheres to the manga and is fantastic) has the subtitle Brotherhood.

So I just marathoned Neon Genesis Evangelion. For those unaware, it's a mech anime in which everyone is depressed and it ends with a Tang apocalypse. So now I need to counterbalance. Recommend stuff with non-depressing, satisfying conclusions. If it helps, FMA: Brotherhood is my favorite thing in the history of things.

I have a few ideas for fanfics. I have a few big plot concepts, with some scene ideas in mind, but less in the way of plot and stuff. Almost all of them are crossovers. I request the aid of all of you in coming up with ideas. #1: Reaper's Creed Bleach/Assassin's Creed crossover Synopsis: Set after the events of Assassin's Creed Revelations/Embers (so mid-1500s), and a few hundred years before Bleach starts. Ezio becomes a Soul Reaper after passing on, and blah blah blah stuff happens. sub-synopsis: Ezio, by the time main series Bleach opens, is either Captain or Lieutenant of Division 2 (the ninjas and assassins). #2: Fate's Teachings Negima/Harry Potter crossover Synopsis: After Negima concludes and in book 5 of HP (Order). Fate Averruncus, former villain turned-teacher, teaches Defense class. note: In the few scenes we get of good-guy Fate as a schoolteacher, he's a master troll. This is the only image I had in my head when coming up with this fic.
