To explain: I had no fairies at this point. First attempt: Hit him once or twice with the Biggoron Sword, and then ran out of mana for the Light arrows (I didn't know you could roll under). A quick google resolved that. Second: got brought to two hearts by the @#$%ing redead on the way out of the castle. One misstep during the fight later, ded. Third: Got to the Master Sword stage, and promptly got murdered because Ganon got faster. Fourth and final: spammed roll to just keep smacking the tail. So a brief recap of the various dungeons: Child Tree at beginning of game: Did it in August... 2013. Don't even remember. Dodongo's Cavern: 6/10, probably had more difficulty than I should have. Jabu-Jabu: 7/10, Ruto was annoying but the rest was good. I enjoyed that boss fight. Adult Forest temple: 10/10. Hookshot > Phantom Ganon. Fire temple: 8/10. Volvo dragon was a bit annoying, but HAMMER. Water temple: 5/10. Tedious as shit. Shadow temple: 0/10. Between the Lens of Truth, the damn guillotines, and @#$%ing Bongo Bongo, this one had me pulling my hair out. Spirit temple: 10/10. Much better. This one was really damn fun. The witches were a fun boss. Ganon's castle: 9/10. I like how it was the "final exam" dungeon. The only part that annoyed me was the shadow barrier bit (sensing a pattern...) where you have to time the Fire arrows. (...also, I had forgotten to get them and had to leave the dungeon, do that bit, and go back...). Everything else, including the boss fight(s), was excellent. Game overall: 7/10. I'm not sure I'm going to buy any of the other Zelda 3DS games (which currently amounts to Majora 3D and Link Between Worlds), but it was a decent overall experience. I think next I'm gonna get KH3D.

Adventures in Ocarina: On attempt number four (because I had no fairies left), I beat Ganon. I like how the final boss is arguably the simplest boss fight in the game while still being one of the toughest. (For me) And on that note, roll credits.

THE THRILLING (?) CONCLUSION. (Previous installment edited because the first sentence I wrote tonight is part of the previous paragraph. We pulled into the station, and I walked into the offices with words on the tip of my tongue. Of course, it wasn’t as easy as just saying it. As soon as I saw Guy, sitting placidly in one of the chairs, I forgot what I’d been planning to say. I pulled myself together, and improvised. “Guy? Do you know how long you’ll be here on Earth?” “I do not know. I was forced to abandon my spacecraft, and I was unable to recover any communication devices. I am not familiar enough with your planet’s technology to build a facsimile as of yet. If I am to estimate, it may take a year or more by your time scale.” I didn’t even blink at how Guy had already learned our calendar system. “Well, if you’d like… I know there’s a lot of people who will want to know more about you and your culture. Would you object if I offered to help with that? I’d love to learn anything you have to offer.” Guy contemplated for nearly a minute, barely moving. Just as I was about to ask again, it spoke. “I would like that very much.” I smiled, and extended my hand. “Well then, what do you think? Are we friends?” Guy looked at my hand, before slowly raising its own arm to meet mine. “Yes. We are friends.” It was the weirdest handshake of my life. But it was also the best one.

Adventures in Ocarina: Okay, Spirit Temple? You're cool. That was a fun section. Got the bad taste of Shadow Temple (fuck Bongo Bongo) out of my mouth. Only the final dungeon to go.
