For the first day or so I was 99% sure it was a joke. A poorly planned one, but a joke. But there was always that "what if he's not kidding?" And for that brief period when the "test sites" were up it was just plausible enough to be believable, The fact that the sites were basically physical representations of "How Not to Design a Forum" honestly made it worse, because there was always that "oh god is he actually serious" in the back of our heads. And then about ten seconds after we started to think you were being serious you went "LOLKIDDING WASN'T THAT A RIOT" No. No, it was absolutely not. And if you do decide to do something this asinine again, three things: Make it over the top. Or at least funny-bad. The Mentlegen theme was perfect because it was funny and also silly enough that we recognized it as a joke and enjoyed it. Don't drag it out. The longer it goes the less funny it is because the more plausible it becomes that it's not a joke. If you have fake sites or something, tell a couple volunteers ahead of time so they can play along.
