Clearly if you're able to afford it you've already replaced most of your body with superior technologies so it's not a problem Steam never asked for this. -

Before I go into Madoka, I want to get something off my chest. Sailor Moon Crystal episode 2 was one of the worst episodes of anime I've seen in recent memory. It's a rehash of what's already been done, yes. But you don't have to have the stock footage of transformations two times in three minutes. You don't need to keep your protagonist as a useless screaming ditz. You don't need the tuxedo guy to be wearing a tuxedo in public- he wasn't in the original, and this change makes them both look even dumber. And when it went for the artsy animation style, it forces the show to take itself utterly seriously. All of this, combined with the 90's era plot, basically reinforces that this show aged very poorly. Note on the show that might help explaining my opinion on the movie (see above): The wishes as revealed in episode order (not chronological) were increasingly selfless, regardless of intent. Mami wished for her own survival- purely, albeit unintentionally, selfish. Sayaka wished to heal a friend/crush of an injury- selfless wish to help a single person, but for a selfish reason. Kyoko wished for her father's success to help herself as well as her family- selfish and selfless at the same time. Original Timeline Madoka's wish (this is a supplemental materials thing) was to save a cat that got hit by a car- the one in the opening theme. Purely selfless, but small scale and no real harm to herself (death by Walpurgis notwithstanding). Homura wished to be able to protect Madoka, at the cost of her own sanity. Madoka's gamebreaker wish: Save everyone at the cost of herself. That's what the show's meaning was to me. And that's why the movie's last several minutes made me so unbelievably angry. Random theory about the movie, BTW:

Sailor Moon Crystal, Episode two writeup. Because going to sleep at a healthy hour for work is for chumps. Okay that got a laugh. …apparently it works because it loads up an audio file of them saying “get us the crystal blah blah blah” Usagi heads off to the arcade, and Luna tells her that the pen is a transformation trinket. It costumes her as a doctor immediately. WAIT WHY DO THEY NOT USE THIS ALL THE TIME. The demon is hypnotizing Ami for some reason, and notices the pen, which promptly triggers a reaction in Ami. Usagi intervenes… and is undisguised and saying “I’m a doctor.” Oy. She also spills the beans about the disk, and the demon goes into actual demon mode. Usagi transforms and WAIT WHY DID THEY DO THE FULL SEQUENCE AGAIN NO WE WERE SUPPOSED TO NOT HAVE THE STOCK FOOTAGE THIS TIME. This seriously annoys me. Being called “friend” triggers Ami’s brain or something, the demon flings paper with enough force to damage walls, and Usagi promptly cowers and does the supersonic scream again. *sigh* It doesn’t work and the demon just beats the everloving crap out of her with paper before pinning her to the wall under like ten textbooks worth. Wow, she seriously needs to get her act together. Ami breaks the hypnosis and awakens her own powers. Luna gives the cue... “Mercury Power Make Up!” Did you REALLY need to have the Usagi one too? Also Ami/Mercury is amusingly befuddled by the transformation. Luna identifies her as the brains of the group. We need it. “Mercury Aqua Mist!” It’s a shroud, the demon is utterly unaffected by it and Usagi is only saved by Tuxedo’s intervention (directly this time) before he tells her to do the Boomerang thing again. Jesus Usagi, just use the damn tiara immediately next time. Also, how the hell was fucking fog supposed to help? And Tuxedo's gone as soon as the fog clears. Jadeite is annoyed that another Sailor is around now, and Usagi’s got a new ally and friend. Now can we get someone whose combat ability is something beyond the Deux Ex Tiara or, again, fucking fog. We close on some girl looking at candles or something. Odds of her being #3: Slightly higher than the odds of Naruto having an unsatisfying conclusion. I’m honestly still peeved at the transformation thing. Okay, that was honestly just bad. The old formula just doesn't work anymore, and this one made it way clearer.

And now I'm forced to remember that (A) tan girl is basically a clone of Ilya (red-eyes) (B ) they're all like ten © tan clone literally requires kissing to draw mana from others for survival due to her bizarre means of coming into existence (Ilya overclocked her magic or some shit and it created her). Bonus points: Tan girl (who I just remembered is known as Kuro Ilya usually) feels everything regular Ilya does. (for the love of god do not ask) on the other hand the same show gave us this so i call it a fair trade

that flows distressingly well and has way, way too many similarities
