Maison streak has hit 100 and counting. OH MY GOD battle 107 was terrifyingly close. Suicune and Latias traded off, and I had Megakhan against a Terrakion. Sacred Sword left me with 1 HP. And then Khan and Dnite took down the last mon (regirock). Calling it a night at 111 wins.

There's an amusing quote from the last gym leader actually. He basically says that, due to his type specialization, he's either going to be incredibly easy or incredibly tough. But yeah, the difficulty is kinda skewed in XY because you basically have two-thirds of the entire pokedex to choose from by the fifth or sixth badge. Combine that with the broken as shit exp share and, well. (I actually turned off the exp share on my second run- it was significantly more challenging)

So the Maison basically gives different trainer classes different team compositions. The Veteran class is the absolute scariest to face, because they field three legendaries. 81 and counting.

I named my Goodra Goonther. I'm proud of that. in other news, Smogon's record in Triples Maison: 1845. The next-best was around 500. That's insane. My current streak (on hold for the night) is 71. It's 100 for the Lansat berry and 200 for Starf berry (which are basically useless in battles but are hella good for berry farming)

I love it. As for your team, there's the obvious point of having a balanced group. I had a few pokemon in the PC as a sort of secondary team- the EXP share is incredibly broken in XY making it entirely plausible to have a twelve-mon roster. also, courtesy of smogon, a list of maison pokemon (as yet incomplete) as well as the trainers that use which

The smogon streaks are in no small part due to them figuring out all the different pokemon used by the ai and which trainers use what.

Basically, the idea is, there's a ghost. Not sure how many people can see him/her, other than the token ghost whisperer or whatever. The ghost has full memories of their life, but for some reason, nobody remembers them and no records exist. Presumably the story would revolve around trying to find tangible proof of their life. No idea where to go from there.

If and when Volcanion's released to the general public, I see it being a very big threat. Typing gives it double resistances to Steel, Bug, and Ice, resists Bug and Fairy, and it has Water Absorb. Three single weaknesses (electric, rock, ground- all pretty common, to be fair). And its signature move is Scald on steroids (110 power, 95 accuracy, as yet unknown burn percentage). And its stats: 80/110/120/130/90/70
