Naruto manga... the lack of filler is a fucking lifesaver. I personally view it as still pretty good, although it's had some serious pickup as of recent. Actually, the recent non-filler episodes have actually been pretty damn good too. Bleach... anime is painful at times. So freaking slow. Manga, as Rynjin said, had serious pacing issues until very very recently.
