    So two or so hours in and some thoughts/notes:

    - I feel like they tried way too hard on the extended prologue. It was interesting, yes, but it didn't feel right to me. Admittedly, my only experience with Fallout is New Vegas, but there it was "okay, here's your backstory, here's your goals, have fun" in the first ten minutes. Here I just got back to Sanctuary post-apocalypse and now the prologue is done.

    - I note the characters still have the classic Bethesda dead eyes. My character basically ended up looking like this guy.

    - As soon as I saw Codsworth hanging around 200 years later he became my favorite character forever.

    Any recs for initial SPECIAL build? I think in New Vegas I put a ton into Luck and Agility for VATS spam and gambling.

    Well, even though I worked for them for a week, and they promised to pay for the training, they never paid. After I tried calling them about a dozen times, my dad tried, and they said "check's in the mail" ... a week ago. So we called back the other day and they asked us to come in to talk today. Just now we called them to confirm and got voicemail.

     

    Absolutely do not take jobs with sketchy sales/marketing companies. Ever.

     

    Edit: So they just called back, saying "we'll have the check by next Friday." Yeah, no, we're coming over to pick it up or we're going small claims court on them.

    (If I don't post by tonight, they probably stabbed us when we walked in.)

     

    edit 2: They say they'll direct deposit it by Monday. So I'm keeping a skeptical eye on my account.

    Also, the guy prepared for the meeting by putting a gigantic stack of envelopes on his desk and saying they were all checks that had been returned to sender. What a slimeball.

    Update number I don't even know anymore:

    So they did try to direct deposit, as evidenced by the deposit slip they finally emailed today... but they got the account number wrong. As in, they forgot the last three digits.

    I'm beginning to suspect this is just general incompetence.

     

    also I'm gonna start learning web development from one of my college textbooks because I got nothing better to do and it might help me get employment
