Ah, okay. Well, I guess that probably takes Snake out of the equation then. Shame. Maybe we'll get a replacement character, perhaps from Advance Wars? Also, I guess one more bit of speculation: I wouldn't be surprised if we got another Kirby character, considering it's Sakurai's franchise originally. Magolor and Bandana Dee are both newer characters that have gotten fairly popular and made multiple appearances. Maybe I'm biased, but I think one or the other has a good chance of inclusion.

So some speculation on who the other characters might be. Spoiler Returning characters not yet shown: Ice Climbers: could be, but might not. The partner dynamic between Rosalina and her Luma (though it is different) gives me a bit of a bad feeling about the pair, but they could easily return IMO. Roy: let's be honest, there's only room for one character that shares properties with Marth. I'd rather have Roy but it's not in the cards. Maybe as a costume for Marth, but unfortunately that's the best we're likely to get. Pichu: AHAHAHAHAHAHA no. Young Link: wait, who? Oh, you mean Toon Link? Again, maybe as a costume, but not as an individual character. Mewtwo: considering all of the Mewtwo trolling around Greninja, not gonna happen. Squirtle/Ivysaur: these two aren't nearly as popular/iconic as Charizard (Ivysaur especially, since it's a middle evolution). Unlikely. Lucas: maybe as a costume for Ness, but considering Ness almost wasn't in Brawl I don't think two Mother characters are going to be in Smash 4. Snake: I'd say he's more likely than not to get in, considering why he got into Brawl. Also, maybe I'm misremembering but wasn't there a a screenshot of Shadow Moses Island somewhere? As for all-new inclusions, well, I dunno. Honestly, Sakurai could do anything. I will say this much, though: if anybody's getting multiple third-party characters, it's Namco, since they helped make the game. You'd think they would've announced all the third-party characters by now, but perhaps not, especially considering Snake might return. I wouldn't be all that surprised if I heard Klonoa or a Soul Calibur character got in.

Last night I dreamed Smash 4 came out and all five of the characters the leak didn't reveal were clones of ROB. My reaction was more or less "Sakurai what"
