    Abaddon isn't a weak hero as such, but the problem with him is that he's just extremely situational. As I see it the only real reasons to pick him are for his aphotic shield and mist coil, both of which are very nice abilities. The dispel on aphotic shield is arguably his strongest ability, and it works well for what it's intended to do.

    Heroes like vengeful spirit, dazzle, or even WW seem like they are a lot more versatile, they each have heals and the ability to save their allies if they're in a bad situation, but their spells also contribute a lot more to the 5 man meta which is popular at the moment. I'm aware that it's not an entirely valid argument to just compare him to these heroes, as he's fairly different from all of them, and as I said, he's not bad, just situational and most of the time I would rather one of these 3 heroes to abaddon. 

    If we're talking solo queue pubs I don't think it's unreasonable to assume a lot of the time you're going to be a solo support, or at least in a dual lane, so yeah, being a melee support is kind of a big deal, it's extremely hard to zone the enemy offlaner as a melee solo, and if lanes don't go well teammates often go on tilt because very few pub players know how to play from behind. Coupled with the fact that it means he can't deward particularly easily, and that he struggles to gank the enemy mid (which is fairly important if there's something like an SF mid) due to the lack of a stun he struggles to make an impact in a lot of games. 

    Again, he's not a bad hero, but he needs the right situation to actually thrive, there's few  heroes better at saving a single core from enemy aggression, but a lot of the time he is quite weak.

    I don't wanna cyberbully anyone here, but I feel like bloodstone isn't an appropriate item on a support rubick.

    Also the compendium page has been bugged since day 1 with the zeus portrait on treasure 3. His item is presumably some kind of gauntlet and comes as a rare bonus item.

    And after that wonderful game we had the pleasure of playing against another Necro, not a shit-tier ancient jungling one this time at least.

    I got to experience the joy of buying everyone on my team as well as myself an aghanims scepter, just for the stats upgrade.

    Dude marcus was the rat in this game. He runs at towers, BKB's and counterattacks it to death. Me and techies managed to delay the game, but all the push came from our +600 dmg legion commander.

    ​Hey, at least we didn't lose. I think I would probably have killed myself if we had. I love hitting the creeps and getting the gold, but 10 slotted naga siren with 1700cs and 20k gold in reserve is a bit much even for me.

    Anyway, why didn't you just pick techies when you queued with us? Do you not think we'd be happy with that or something? We play Dota 2 for fun, r-right?
