    Round 2:

This upsets me, because the words that immediately came out of my mouth without thinking was "2fort," but the image in my head as I said that was actually the staircases in Well.

I know you're not responsible for it, but maybe you know who is responsible for adding "reactions" to outlook.  If so, give him a smack for me.  I hate opening up my company e-mail each morning and seeing a million notifications.  Usually a few of those are meetings that I might actually forget about and need to see, but all the rest are reactions.

Trust me, sometimes I'd like to have some words with the Outlook team as well, because they broke it so bad for me at one point that I had to use the web browser version for a month or so until the issue resolved itself.

Surprisingly (or not surprisingly), I've had very little cross Microsoft communication. I think the external team I've talked to most is the one working on the sidebar in Edge browser.

  3. Almost every Yakuza game has some sort of bullshit it whips out near the end, so it's particularly impressive that 5 manages to bungle it the way it does. I think that some of the individual stories are compelling. Kiryu's story is good, though it's jarring going from Yakuza 4's ending to where he starts in 5. Saejima's story is just Yakuza 4 again, but at least he's a lot more fun to play and I really enjoyed big game hunting. Haruka/Akiyama is probably the lowest point due to not caring about the idol stuff at all and Akiyama just hanging around for the ride, but it still had some value to it I could appreciate (Sotenbori is my favorite Yakuza city). Shinada's story is my favorite, but it also came at the time where I was burning out hard with the game, so I rushed through it wanting to be done with the whole thing. But once it tries to connect all the stories together, it just begins to fall apart at the seams and half the script being composed of the word "yume" really didn't help either. The final boss coming out of nowhere didn't really bother me so much actually, since it was a pretty fun final fight.

I think Yakuza 5 is probably too big for it's own good. Between having to start each character's skills from scratch, a whole new map for each,  a lengthy side minigame for each of them, and a mostly independent story for each that you have to keep track of, it burnt me out a lot earlier Yakuza games did. 4 did something similar, but I think it managed pacing those characters out better. It also manages to tie up the story together slightly better, since there's less to keep track of between the stories, and it has the one character consistent between all of them to help as the connecting point. Also, it at least let Kiryu start with some skills so you didn't feel like you were building up a character from nothing for the fourth time.

Without spoiling 6, despite its massive list of issues, I thought it was a breath of fresh air after going through 4 and 5, since it just focuses on Kiryu from beginning to end, and it doesn't last nearly as long. If I had a singular major complaint about 6, it's that it didn't really feel like a proper finale for Kiryu's story. It kind of just feel's like Yakuza 3 if it had a little bit more restraint (key words being "little bit," it still gets stupid).

When are you adding the feature to view other peoples' calendars bro

Going by my trusty handbook here, I'm legally only allowed to answer that with either:

    1. Soon
    2. We have a product for that, and it's called Outlook

I do wish I got to work on some of the more customer facing stuff sometimes for sake of being able of pointing at something cool I worked on, but most of what I've done is behind the scenes.

  5. I just found out that one of the people I sit directly next to in one of my classes is a famous Runescape player also known for being a massive asshole and is currently causing drama in classroom chats for no particular reason.  I am now currently questioning my perspective skills since I'm apparently the one person who didn't know about this guy in the building.
