    Its the strange way he emphasized the word "choke" when he said it.

     

    It felt really heavy handed, like he was about to say, "Get it, choke? Anyone?" right afterwards.  Usually his snark is a just a bit more subtle than that.

    DOOM is my GOTY, which is a complete shock to me, because when I first saw the trailers at E3, I thought it would be absolute trash. It wasn't, though the concept of glory kills still leaves a poor taste in my mouth, despite it being mostly inoffensive about taking you away from the game.

     

    That being said, I don't have a whole lot of other games to compare it to from this year, other than Hitman(tm) Xenoverse 2, Dragonball Fusions, and Pokemon Moon. 

    The new Hitman Game was  actually surprising great despite the DRM and episodic format, which in the end I think actually helped the game more than anything else, but I think DOOM was simply the more solid game. Xenoverse 2 was fine and all, but its basically Xenoverse 1 with some new missions and more solid controls (and bugs). Hopefully the inevitable third game will really build on the last two games to make something great. Fusions was fun for a while, but got really tedious 3/4s through, and Moon was a Pokemon game. Fun, but it doesn't stand out to me.

    Does anyone else feel like everyone's hitting the Doomsday button a little prematurely here? Seriously, calm down a little and stop acting like you're living in the middle of Iraq suddenly and realize that even if Trump fucks up massively, he will be up for re-election again in four years, and you can try to get rid of him then.

     

    Seriously, with all this knee-jerk reaction, I'm worried that half this country will be suffering from arthritis in the next 2 years.

    All these people telling me I should go out to vote only served to make me want to vote even less than I wanted to already. No matter how much they parrot celebrity opinions and whatnot, I'm not putting a vote behind people that I personally don't think deserve it. I don't know if that makes it my fault if the country goes to hell, but I'm sure not going to be certain that it was by voting for a shit candidate.
