  1.

Gonna get Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It has been a long time since I last played a pokemon game (my last being platinum).

    Also, Quick drawings.

Go get X or Y instead of Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.

Gates to Infinity is definitely lacking compared to the other Mystery Dungeons (you only have four choices for starters for example, not everything from Gen I to Gen V is included, it is mostly Gen V stuff).

X and Y are however even better than expected, although it is pretty easy. But there is always online, so yeah. Also, it has a National Dex consisting of 450 pokemon, with other words, the biggest catching variety so far, as most species are only seen on one route, which is really refreshing honestly.

    But I wanna be a Snivy :c

I'm aware of the negative reviews, doesn't prevent me from getting the game tho.

  2.

Someone do that when we actually start doing BfNY.

We'll be starting once we do the last few things we need done (finalizing base locations, everyone posting Artifact placement).

I'll probably make a second Story Thread, just to separate us from the dead posts.

Atleast you tell me much more than EvilBrain.

Is anything missing on my character by the way?

  3. I might aswell join this, be prepared for a weird character:

    [spoiler2]

    Davy
Get it? Snivy and my name
    ZlH1bqN.jpg

'Davy' was a human like everyone else. Not necessarily an interesting life, but he was taken to some sort of lab for reasons unknown. Being tested on with various stuff, he managed to escape the now-destroyed lab facility which exploded violently in an accident. Landing in some sort of forest - or park - , he lies there unconscious... if he's still male. Always holding his moon necklace close by, he hopes for the best.

Staying vigilant at all times, she only utilizes most of her newfound abilities if she happens to be in danger, and if those don't happen to work, her quickness makes up for it.

Appearance: Basically, an anthro Snivy, I'd say ~1.60 meters tall though, green skin and some yellow parts, refer to pic. She wears a bellyfree top and short pants, no shoes because she doesn't even have human feet.

Weapons of Choice: Unarmed, she has abilities to make up for the lack of weaponry, although she can use knives and sniper rifles quite well.

    Alignment: True Neutral

    Team: None

Likes: Anything with nature, nighttime, playing games and giving hugs

Dislikes: Urbanisation to some degree, fights

    Stats:

    Health: 3
    Attack: 3
    Defense: 2
    Special Attack: 3
    Special Defense: 2
    Agility: 5

    Abilities:

    Passive abilities:

    Regeneration
    Regenerates HP depending on situation/envoirment.
[spoiler2]Regeneration is highered. It increases at a normal rate under normal circumstances. Being affected by sunlight doubles the regeneration rate, while moonlight gives a 1.5x boost. Being in fights halves the regeneration rate.[/spoiler2]

    Moon's Blessings
    Increases stuff during nighttime
[spoiler2]During nighttime, damage done is slightly increased, along a slight increase of agility and speed.[/spoiler2]

    Analyze
    Increased crit chance
[spoiler2]When fighting an enemy for longer amouts of time, she is able to recognize poorly defended areas on the enemy, increasing the chance of critical damage.[/spoiler2]

    Pokémon's Spirit

    Various changes

[spoiler2]Due to the fact that Davy is an anthro pokemon, she shares various traits with them, most notably that she starts respawning as a normal Snivy (and probably can decide if she wants to become a Servine/Serperior or an anthro Snivy later on).[/spoiler2]

    Moves:
Instead of the Actives-and-Specials list, I thought of something more unique. I can have 4 active abilities, but I have a progressively larger pool of moves that I have access to. I can only change to those "relearnable" moves when I have time to concentrate, I can NOT change to them before or during fights. Some moves also have alternative versions (e.g. Leaf Tornado being usable as a Double Jump mechanism).

Those moves are able to "level up" slowly through repetitive usage: Every minor level (3 of them existing) gives a 2% damage boost to BASE Power and +1 PP. Every major level (9 existing) adds 5% to base Power, +2 PP and +1% Accuracy. Moves all have a predetermined Base Power, PP and Accuracy depending on the move itself.
I am also able to randomly find manuals, although rarely, thus Power caps out at 255, PP gets infinite after that and accuracy (for all not-100%-hit moves) maxes out at 98%.
There are also stat-only moves/moves that don't have a specific Base Power, they do level up though anyway, increasing in potency/duration/whatever.
Also, some moves will have different amout of PP/power than in the main game.

The list of moves can be seen here
    [/spoiler2]

EDIT: Added some stuff, along the ability to handle Snipers well and knowing weak spots of the enemy.
EDIT2: Added some stuff to bio, mentioning eventual spawnpoint and artifact.
EDIT3: Added less obnoxious pic, thanks to Silver Nuke, you all probably know him, but he isn't in subSPUF yet.
EDIT4: Made yet some more adjustments, reworked some abilities etc.
    #spuf_string_changelog5
EDIT6: Highered Attack and Sp. Atk stat by 1; Added offensive variant of Leaf Storm; Davjo forgot Iron Tail and learned Leaf Blade!
    EDIT7: Reworked move system completely.
EDIT8: Updated numbers (death halves all PP), stopped caring for colors and progress bars because BB code limit. Move updates won't get a major edit line here.

EDIT9: Updated moves list, using Google Docs for easier overview (and colors)

    EDIT10: Added Pokémon's Spirit passive.
