  1. Typical it had to happen just as you were turning the tide :/ Why do connection issues always spring up at the pinnacle moment? I know there's no "good" time to have internet issues but sod's law comes to mind.
  2. Medic takes a look at Volt's new fancy skin in Warframe!

  5. *Takes deep breath* Medic: Covers Missing the Bandwagon and generally not being too fussed about the next big thing! Gives advice On Hunting Eidolons in Warframe! Talks about the many music genres she likes! You do you! ...And gives her opinion on the new Justice League film!
  6. Having beaten the Ratchet and Clank remake VERY recently (Six days ago according to the achievement time stamp) I can say that it was fun, but not engaging or interesting. Not only by comparison to the PS2 original but on its own too. I'll probably wind up watching the playthroughs that were suggested since I'm now curious as to what I missed out on... I always wanted my own copy as a kid but only managed to play it in 5 minute random chunks on other peoples consoles. Sad they butchered the soundtrack too, it's just whimsical white noise now. I honestly can't remember a SINGLE track from the reboot. Also (and I'm getting very used to saying this when it comes to Hi-Rez), what now?
  7. Medicinal Warlock takes a shot at the alpha for Apocryph! More fast-paced shooters can't be a bad thing! Hopefully it gets more options down the line like you mentioned. The fog makes it look worse and the slow-mo should be an unlockable cheat or something.
  8. I still can't believe the stats on that thing... I remember when going through the Jungle Update patch notes I read it about three times just to be sure. As soon as I've got my own, the sandvich is gone. Sorry, sandvich, you had a good run.
  9. Medicinal Warlock covers Pyro's new weapons from the jungle update! I still need to obtain all the Pyro weapons but they look fun Internet issues from storm damage stopped me originally, but recently I've just been trying to deal with my backlog of games. But I'll jump back in afterwards :D I hope I still have a name and description tag lying around... I want to name my Dragon's Fury after Drogoz... Come on, it's perfect.

    TIAM: General Gaming edition

Not as far as I know, not sure if the numbers can be found anywhere but typically I can go match to match and have new players every time. That's why I found it baffling. It's just stupid the game didn't match me against other solo randoms simply because I'm a high rank, so instead put me against a super serious hardcore no-fun-allowed 5-man (twice) which would destroy everyone. A skilled player in a mob of randoms isn't going to achieve much, coordination is what wins games. I mean look at this mess.

    TIAM: General Gaming edition

You'd think 10pm on a saturday would be a decent time to look for a match on SMITE. Noep. Seemingly not. I SOLO queued into a pre-made enemy team, running the exact same set-up, TWICE. Having bumped into this pre-made a few times before this occasion, winning and losing against them, I decided to google why we'd been placed together. It happened the leader of the pre-made was rank #2*. (*On that mode, on that platform.) I then searched myself since I didn't know (or really before this point care for) my ranking. #80. So the matchmaking system seemingly went: "Well, we've got #80 by himself looking for a nice chilled solo match... And we've got #2 and his friends searching for another serious team to fight against... Eh, close enough!" and chucked us together. Well done, Hi-Rez... Well done. *solitary clap that echoes through time and space* More than likely everyone was dissatisfied. My team fed their brains out so probably hated every moment being stomped, they won effortlessly so probably felt completely unchallenged and I was just bored out of my mind barely able to do anything against the monsters my team had created. 2/2 and 1/2 are hardly KDRs to write home about but I'm still somewhat pleased I even managed that considering the rest of my teammates had double-digit deaths. Something tells me that the system values speed of matches found over the balance and quality of the matches created. Y'know, like a good system does... What a waste of 40 minutes.
  12. Today, Medic gives advice on mining safely and efficiently in Minecraft!
  13. Today, Medic shows how to fight for Net Neutrality. It really winds me up they can just keep doing this crap over and over again, hoping for the day when brute force eventually wins out. It's ridiculous. Why isn't there a limit?

    Dreams

Second dream started off in a coastal town. It was just a pleasant sunny day with a nice sea breeze and then my subconcious decided it would brighten the mood by having a maniac behind a sports car plough into the side of a bus, sending them both careening off the road and towards people on the pavement. Fortunately, the people got out of the way before they both ploughed half way through the wall of someone's house. Both instantly burst into flames, the bus passengers ran out of the bus, both drivers weren't so lucky. People began pouring out of the smashed buildings in a panic while I looked on in bewilderment at the hell around me and how fast it had appeared. There was a screech of tyres. I turned to look expecting police or ambulances but, naturally, it was U.S. soldiers... In the middle of the English countryside... They formed two columns and called for people to walk down the middle so they could be searched. One by one, people were escorted away from the danger. I was called, but as I stepped forwards the soldier on the verge of searching me flipped and raised his rifle so that I was looking down the barrel, yelling at me to back up. I did as I was told, hands raised, but that didn't stop someone kicking me in the back of the legs and forcing me flat against the road. Someone else joined the fray and pressed the side of my head into the road. As you can imagine, the panic of this attack made me attempt to break free which only served as an excuse for others to join in. Now I was completely restrained when someone grabbed my lower jaw and yanked it down almost to breaking point, they hooked their other hand under my front teeth and started pulling on the upper jaw. Although being aware I could try to clamp down on whoever was dumb enough to place their fingers in my mouth, I was also aware enough to realise I didn't want my jaw being snapped seconds later, so I froze. Fortunately, he then moved his hands to my chin and forehead instead, maintaining the pressure. I caught the glint of something metallic to my right, I couldn't make it out though since my eyesight was being obscured thanks to the hand pressing my eyelids upwards too. Suddenly, the metal was smashed against my teeth and began brutishly scraping. I then realised my teeth were being filed. I writhed as I attempted escape and then in agony as my teeth (and generally the inside of my mouth) were slowly destroyed. I kicked and screamed, spat blood onto the asphalt. But the onlookers didn't make a move or sound, just kept staring. The only people who kept yelling were the ones who kept my arms twisted behind my back and kept kneeing me in the ribs. A few moments later I was magically back home. In the mirror I could see the extent of the assault. My canine teeth were reduced to bloody stubs and everything else had been filed down to a bloody, uneven line. My mouth was so butchered and my tongue so swollen I was only capable of barely audible gurgles and growls. Fortunately, with the power of dream logic, the random person in my house who I've never met* was perfectly able to understand what I was saying. I can't remember what I said though. So yeah... Basically, I was tortured by being defanged. First thing I did when I bolted awake out of that dream sat upright in bed was roll my tongue around my teeth and sigh in relief. Hopefully my next dream isn't straight out of a body horror film. (*I've heard the theory where anyone you see in your dreams is actually someone you've seen in reality, as the brain isn't capable of creating faces. I'm doubtful of that... If the brain can create something as vivid as I just described, why would it struggle with making up a face?)

    Dreams

You seem to have a knack for catching dream wildlife... I had two bizarre dreams (or nightmares now that I think about it) recently. The first took place in a classroom, it was normal enough until I heard a rumble. I looked up to see the roof was collapsing, I tried to run but I was crushed and blacked out. I woke up later with the sky blinding me, I tried moving but I was paralysed. The only movement I had was the ability to turn my head an inch or two to the right. It was then I looked down at myself and realised I was strapped to some weird metal frame, like a stretcher that copied the patient's body posture. I glimpsed the teacher approaching from the corner of what remained of the room. I asked her if everyone was okay, she explained a few people had been killed before meddling with a tablet-sized monitor attatched to the frame above my left shoulder that I'd somehow failed to notice. I could see my vitals displayed on it, she tapped the screen showing another page of information on how my body was coping and the dosages of medicine that were keeping me alive. She went through a couple more screens before adjusting one of the many things being administered to me from yellow to green, so I guess I was low on whatever it was. Amusingly, I saw the abbreviation ATP adjacent to the one being adjusted and recognised it from high school biology lessons. Next thing I knew I was getting VERY tired, so I guess it was a sedative because I blacked out again shortly after and that was it. Why this teacher had knowledge on how to operate this state-of-the-art life support system is beyond me, but hey, dreams.
  16. Medicinal Warlock discusses the practice of lootboxes in popular mutliplayer titles and breaks through the flimsy excuses used to defend them.
  17. I like the Scorch Shot, I just missed the flare gun too much whenever I did use it so always ended up swapping it out again.
  18. Today, Medicinal Warlock gives some love to (some of) Pyro's long-range secondaries!
  19. Medicinal Warlock takes a bite out of Heavy's lunchbox items!
  20. Medicinal Warlock reviews the new Vita-Saw! I was going to say trying to land four hits would be a death wish then remembered that's exactly the point of the weapon.
  21. Medicinal Warlock talks methods of reaching the frontline as Heavy! Pfft! Who'd use a minigun? *slowly shoves aside Tomislav* Edit: Love the medic running on the last one
  22. Medicinal Warlock talks AAA games, indie games and being gentlemanly about piracy.
  23. Meanwhile, I got Worms Battlegrounds as one of the "free" games on Playstation Network this month. I'm not liking it very much, feels very... Half-baked. Played a couple of matches with a friend who's also played a bunch of Worms games and we kept tripping over ourselves expecting the mechanics to work a certain way and they just didn't. Taking fall damage from a height less than a regular jump was when we both gave up. We kept calling in armageddons until we'd leveled the map and the majority of our worms before huddling around a cosy stick of dynamite together to send our final worms into the sea. It was a fitting end lol That being said, I adore Armageddon, World Party, Worms 3, 4 and Ultimate Mayhem. Hell, even the original is still kinda fun.
  24. Medicinal Warlock observes the oddity that is the Gas Passer... It is a strange beast. I did ponder as soon as I saw it why I should take it over what already existed. By the way, the Pyros with secondaries for heads unsettles me greatly for some reason.
  25. Also, here are the links to the third and final parts of Medicinal Warlock's look at Ōkami! Hah! Who says chameleons are the only ones who can make their eyes point in opposite directions?!
