Medicinal Warlock returns to build a new empire from the ashes of his old kingdom! I hadn't even heard of this until curiousity made me click on West of Loathing on the Steam Store and practically every review mentioned having played Kingdom of Loathing. I'll have to give it a try sooner or later! Presumably West of Loathing is just a straight upgrade since it's got a price tag now. -

Today, Medic goes over Speed™ running Warframe missions! I wonder if you did all the speed boost techniques with mods and other frames if it would even be manageable? lol I'm picturing the screen just becoming a map-coloured blur... Would be fun to try though, I imagine. -

aabicus goes for gold with golden guns! I miss my golden weapons off Gotham City Imposters :( Every weapon in my loadouts were gold. Ten in total. That reminds me of when the main server crashed SUPER HARD when I was trying to get the golden Kingmaker pistol. I had 1000/1000 kills and 490+/500 headshots and it remembered my kills but reset the headshots back to 0. I was very upset. Since it was 500 headshot KILLS, not hits.Though even with that massive hit to my progress, the most torturous was still the Motivator. AKA the healing gun. 1 MILLION points of healing and providing 1000/1200(?) healing in under (8/10??) seconds which was practically impossible unless you specifically farmed it with 5 friends on a map with environmental damage. Yet, I somehow got it in a random match when I guess I became some sort of healing god. I miss that game. Sure, it's on STEAM as a free to play, but last time I checked it was a laggy, unpopulated, rushed port of the excellent 360 version. I should probably write an article on it... -

Yeah, unfortunately. I linked his ability reveal on his name in my previous post if you wanna see it in action. Though with the new champion they announced like an hour ago I'm looking forward to blowing Jenos's brains out from a mile away before he can even bother me! Judgement is coming Jenos, now I have two snipers to do the job with. P.S. - Nice call on the bolt-action rifle btw lol. -

Today, Medicinal Warlock explains what sets Paladins supports apart from the rest! Also, I already despise Jenos in his current state. He's insane. His heals are huge, can go through walls, heal himself, are lock-on and only need to be applied once to do the full heal and have a very short cooldown before even messing with cards/chronos. Not to mention how common it is for him to finish a game with 200/300,000 healing when another healer who played perfectly would be thrilled with 100,000 give or take. Void grip is infuriating. Sure, he can't fire while doing it but you're still cannon fodder. ESPECIALLY with his legendary that makes it cripple. Played a match today as Androxus and spent 90% of that helplessly floating getting railed on. I bought Cauterise III but it didn't do anything since I'd apply it, have to escape on low health, round the corner again and everyone would be on full. Then there's his fast movement ability which is literally NEVER on cooldown. So even when he's low on health he's a pain in the arse to hit and can easily heal back up in seconds. The only part of his kit I don't mind is his ult. Because it's just Ra's. Easy to dodge but still effective if played right. Funny the ability that does a flat 2400 damage is the only thing of his I HAVEN'T died to. Basically, what I'm trying to say is I'm salty. Even when I win a match against him, I hate every second of it. Always leave the match with a headache. I don't get it. He shares so much in common in terms of healing mechanics with Seris, but she's so much more tolerable. Probably because she doesn't have a highly-damaging assault rifle with 0 recoil and decent range. /rant -

"Moving forward, only tradable items can be gift wrapped. Items that are currently gift wrapped can be delivered regardless of the tradability of the contents of the gift. " According to the TF2 Wiki for Gift Wrap. I forgot about that until you mentioned it. That's sucky :( Appreciate the offer but it seems Valve doesn't like the idea :P Fortunately, the year or two I spent pining for it taught me I could live without it. I just think it's cool. Just not cool enough for that much real money D: -

Medicinal Warlock goes into detail on both the Vampiric Vesture and the injustice of the halloween-restriction system! Also, while talking about medic halloween cosmetics, why was the wolf head always so goddamn expensive? :( I wanted it (for obvious reasons) but wasn't going to pay through the nose for it. Especially for a cosmetic so infrequently available. -

It's like a mini-archive :D ...That must of taken forever D: Nice article for the milestone! Certainly made for a nice, relaxing read after I spent an afternoon smashing a sofa to bits... (I was going to add context but I think it's funnier if I don't.) -

IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!! It was the graphics card. Now replaced and running like a dream :D Before that point it was a 50/50 chance of my PC crashing whenever I clicked on anything. The reason it took so long was it kept bloody freezing whenever it got close to downloading the new drivers it needed. Now I can finally do things! -

I'll try and do a few, at least it'll make me use my PC in the meantime. Frankly, I've buried my head in the sand when it's come to finding a long-term solution to my PC. Mainly because I'm anxious over who to hire to fix it. If I get a local in the area, there's the chance they'll exploit my lack of knowledge to charge me more, even if it's something easily fixed, but if I get some reputable company type (still need to find one) to do it, it'll probably cost a small fortune anyway... Especially since I need them to come to my home. I have no way of lugging my PC around. But feeling sorry for myself doesn't help much either so I should probably just make my mind up already :| But first, articles! Procrastination, what's that? -
I don't know if it IS the GPU really. My PC recently crapped itself and would boot up, but would permanently have a black screen. Lights on, fans running, everything seemed fine except the monitor received no input. I could see the graphics card fan whirring but there was no image. I'm now running off DVI ports and I just assumed either the GPU/graphics card died at some point. I was just wondering if I could pin down what was causing this before ringing up a tech guy. Figured it would help get it fixed faster if I could point out which component specifically had broken. *shrugs* Sorry I'm useless with computers :< My friend advised moving my graphics card / GPU into someone else's PC to test them individually but I can't do that so that's why I was wondering if I could test it myself.
-
Question: Is there any way to check if your GPU/graphics card is dead without moving it to a new rig? Either the graphics card or GPU or both in my PC are screwed, but I want to confirm it before getting someone who knows what they're doing to take my PC apart and repair/replace it. Also, if there is a way of checking, please answer in layman's terms as (in case it wasn't obvious enough from my terminology) I have no idea what I'm doing. Thanks.

Yeah, but to no avail. We tried using my TV both VGA and HDMI and neither worked. However! The good news is my PC now lives! (Thanks to the tech help from CrimsonShard and my sister.) After ranting at him through my PS4 he gave me a list of suggestions which finally led to unscrewing a panel on the back of my PC which had "DVI" ports which would provide feed to my monitor straight from the motherboard, and now that I could actually run dxdiag after getting visuals back we've worked out the the obvious culprit was the culprit. The graphics card. It seems to have just decided it hates me for no reason. One day I was playing Paladins on max settings having a grand ol' time and the next day it killed itself :S So yeah... At least I know how to actually MEND it now! And I finally have an excuse to mod my PC which I should of done years ago but I'm too nervous with pricey electronics to try. I'll probably still get someone else to do it for me so I can get warranty. (Also I cleaned my PC for the first time... That was an experience... A very, very dusty one. That probably didn't help with the death of my graphics card but again at least I know how to do it now. Still terrified of the whole "a tiny bit of static can completely screw up your PC" thing though. I kept touching something metal every 15 seconds. BUT I'M LEARNING VITAL PC STUFF FINALLY SO YAY.) Also I'm aware some ALL of you reading this are probably going "Oh my god, how the hell did you not know about the ports at the back of your PC???" to which my defense is: I'm an idiot with no tech knowledge. -

Typing this from my sister's PC, but I figured I'd tell you guys that aabicus's PC troubles have spread to me and mine is now partially dead too. It powers up just fine, everything sounds okay but there's no input to the monitor. Tried googling it and there's a million things that could be causing it. So yeah. I'm useless with tech and all the easy fixes didn't work. We'll see what happens in time. -

I hope that cloud was heavily edited... Otherwise, if I were you, I'd hide in an underground bunker fearing the wrath of enraged Charizard. -
Last night I dreamt I was a criminal in some sort of strange prison facility. We were all roughly shoved into the same room with each other. In front of us were coloured karabiners, tonnes in boxes. Each representing a type of crime. They already knew what you were guilty of but I figured it was a show of public humiliation as there were huge one-way mirrors everywhere. We chose them and tagged ourselves. Mine were murder, manslaughter, arson and another one which was green which I can't remember what it represented. I knew it wasn't as bad as murder and manslaughter though as the boxes for major and minor crimes were on opposite sides of the room and I got two from each side. Upon attatching the final one to myself, I was shuffled through a remote controlled door into a concrete box of a room. Many sat at wooden desks, some were empty. The only thing that resided in the room beside us was a single reinforced metal door with a faint red glow behind it. It slid open into the ceiling with a mechanical clunk. The only thing beyond the door was an identical door, only faintly visible in the dark, long, narrow corridor due to the pitiful illumination of the single red light. A prisoner got up from his desk, shuddered in and with a long beep, the door slammed shut. Presumably death was waiting on the side of the second door, something like a modern public execution if the mirrors were anything to go by. Either way, my brain checked out when it got close to my turn. Not sure if I'm more annoyed I didn't get to see what really happened or glad I didn't potentially have an incredibly painful, traumatising ending at whatever lie beyond. (Speaking of which, pain in dreams is weird and also kinda fascinating? Considering pain while awake is still debated all the time.) It seems my brain subconsciously thinks I have an incredibly guilty conscience for some reason... Aw well... At least this dream was interesting, if a little morbid.

Last night I dreamt I was walking up to the local petrol station when I bumped into the majority of my old workmates. All of which were just outside next to the pumps for... Reasons? Anyway, they talked about what had gone on since I left and I told them I'd been getting on fine. Suddenly, one piped up to say that the new person they'd employed to fill my position was a mage. As the wave of utter confusion washed over me from this revelation, I woke up. So that was a thing. Typical the cool dreams I had a few nights back are completely gone from memory but this one remains :|

Muh Flying Guillotine combo crit! D: Noooooooooooooo! I wouldn't of cared if they stopped the stun and/or slow on sandman'd targets but to remove it altogether is out of the blue. Feels more like it was removed since they couldn't be bothered to fix the Natascha bug :| Now I'm sad :( Also I guess my counter is practically worthless now :c -
