So apparently in the last hour the IT department changed the addresses of hundreds of our webpages today, owning to a change in usernames. I just printed out hundreds of documents with links to websites where people could go to for help and each and every one of those addresses now leads to a dead site. I need these Monday morning and its too late to get them printed again, since they needed to be bound and I'm not doing that by hand. I checked with some pretty thorough searches, and there was no notification whatsoever from the IT department that they were planning to do this. Yes, the started switching ids a year ago, but in all the announcements about those they stressed that for websites either address would work, and the old addresses remained valid for a year since then. I don't even know where I'm surprised at this shit anymore. Maybe I'm just pissed that the IT department literally has dozens of people who make well over $100,000 a year and they can't even do basic communication or fix the simplest problems. EDIT: And it turns out that they only completed two thirds of the request that I sent in three weeks ago. The request that almost certainly consisted of submitting one fucking sql query and which could easily be automated.

Also, on the topic of Gundam, I really don't understand why Gundam fans seem to like Crossbone Gundam so much. The art is horrible, the conflict has little to nothing to do with those in Gundam F91 (which it serves as a sequel to), the returning characters are reduced to simplistic caricatures, and the new antagonists and main character are boring.
