Yay, another Time Walk!

Didn't see him. Kept a few Walking Balistas and Karns at bay, though. Made a Vampire deck feel sad, too. Had two Blue/White Control mirror matches, wow those are shitty, lol. First one I got beat pretty handily by a better player, and the last match of the night we went almost the entire round before he scooped the first match, and then he conceded the second due to time. He scooped because we had both run out of removal (I left the negates out, because I wasn't sure what I was up against), he had about 10 cards left to my 20 something, but I still had my last Approach coming up. Using the Knights as disposable blockers to get a card advantage is a viable strat. :D Once they're out of cards its pretty much smooth sailing until the Approaches come up. Edit: What does non-R mean? No Red?

Went 3-1 at FNM tonight. Approach of The Second Sun after an ulted Teferi is a serious salt generator. Also, History of Benalia, really good at tossing disposable knights out there to get the card advantage to do it.

Guess the order restrictions on Dominaria have lifted, time to unload my Karns now, lol.

I uh, also gave in to temptation and picked up a booster box of Unstable for these absolutely beautiful lands.

I'd be down for some MvM Mann Up, haven't done a tour in a while. Been busy playing Rust, lol.

Just wondered, because they reprinted an Uncommon card in Battelbond that has a better version (as a Common!) in Dominaria (which I run in my sideboard for my BL/WHT deck)...

Are standard legal cards allowed in Two-headed giant and Commander?

No one would buy into the set if they didn't add in good re-prints... Probably going to pick up a couple of these and make a saproling deck, maybe slip them into my red/green dino deck, too.

Yeah, I hope the Ravnica sets at least look good, probably going to skip Battlebond, but at least the cringe will be a good way to farm memes at least.

I'll probably use him as he's a pretty good card. I also want the whole set, so I'll be keeping at least one, if I pull anymore. Opened a second box, pulled another History of Benalia, and a Lyra. Time to put together a trade binder so I can trade some of my dupes that I won't use to complete my set. The only pricy mythic that I haven't pulled is Karn. I have one more booster to open, but I don't have another card box to store them, so that won't happen until this weekend. Pulled a foil Woodland Cemetery, going to keep that. :D Probably keep the foil Weatherlight, too.

Went to FNM, picked up my boxes, opened one booster pack after the event (my Dino deck isn't all that great) got a Gilded Lotus feelsgoodman.jpg

Yeah, I've got a fairly small pile of Ixalan, and it took me a couple of hours to sift through it to make a deck. Played with it at FNM, got smoked (not surprised, was there mostly to learn) and then spent a few more hours tweaking the decks that I had put together. I just toss on a long Youtube vid in the background while I do it. I remember the cards being way better back in the day (late '90s was the last time I ever attempted to play, lel) too. Nothing like pulling an entire warped deck of lands out of a fat pack...

I actually don't mind the "investment" aspect so much. As long as there are people playing MTG, the cards will have some value. Can't say the same about sports cards, which have no use other than just to collect.

Man that sucks, but you got rekt. :( I just follow one simple rule: If they won't trade straight up, I bail.

All I did was play it for about a half hour, and then scanned my shit with a fine toothed comb for the next 3. Filthy casual.

Bought myself a badass birthday present this year.

I made a meem that got some upvotes on the reddit.

MFW I finally gave in, and started playing MTG, after resisting this damn thing since the '90s. Bought up some Ixalan, a Jace commander deck, the blue control deck, and a starter kit. We'll see how it goes, but I pulled a foil rare from one of the booster packs out of the control deck, lel. Now I'll have to go through my worthless cardboard from the '90s (sports cards, of course) and repurpose some of my binders for Magic now.
