Oh look I gotta pay to access the meat of the update's content again. Great. Spectacular.

I'm surprised anybody bothers with trading with how hard the market crashed from constant Valve meddling and most of the economy's backbone packing up for other games.
-
If that's what's happening then I dunno what they're expecting out of it since TF2's prominence as a result of it would probably be quite short-lived, unless they've got a butt-load of frequent community updates lined up after it.
-
Wasn't it b4nny that was mouthbreathing about all the optimization and things happening for Meet Your Match and then was just "confused" when absolutely none of it came true? I'm loathe to trust anybody but the developers themselves on what will be coming with updates, especially from somebody who supposedly has a very spotty history with managing to make accurate calls. Reddit's instinctive reaction to fellate the developers isn't terrifically surprising.

I remember hearing of something similar where Caber was nerfed because Medics could get divebombed with it, except it didn't actually happen on a regular basis because Caber was near-instantaneously blacklisted pretty much everywhere.

Their proposed change is a really weird one, since usually if you're using Bonk you're either dead in the next two seconds or you're completely home-free. A slowdown isn't really going to change the weapon, or make it require any more skill than it already does. Hell, I think its current cooldown and deprivation of a pistol is already enough of a trade-off for what it does.
-
I'm not at all fond of giving up your SMG and suddenly being able to deal with direct fire damage even better than the Pyro.
-
It's rather interesting that some of their proposed solutions to problems with weapons are reversions to their original incarnations or giving them abilities similar to their original incarnations, ie GRU drained health at launch until the Mann-conomy update and now it drains max health. Not really, though most people just used it as an Axtinguisher for Scout.

Update today with some comp medals and "updated localization files". Also they broke crafting.
-
Nah, trying to design a game with an esports or comp scene already in mind is the best way to completely prevent a game from ever having one take off on its own merits. At that point you dump a shit-ton of money into tournaments for it and hope it takes off in Korea.

I'm half-certain they used the DMC3-costume Donte and called it even. Everybody looks like a blown-out crack whore in this thing, save for Rocket Raccoon who looks like a Chuck E. Cheese animatronic.

I could've sworn I remembered something about a Jap-only PS4 MMO, seems like I'm thinking of Frontier Z which looks pretty similar but not quite that good.
-
Looks like it's a localization of that Jap-only MMO. Wake me up when Monster Hunter 5/5 Ultimate pops up.

They've got the license to use the most well-known video game franchise on the face of the planet, so might as well try and force everyone to like Rabbids again by leeching off of the popularity of a mascot that can actually sell. You know, those annoying little prototype Minions that were wildly unpopular everywhere but France, and which even France tired of eventually. There's no way this can go wrong!
-
God I was so desperately, desperately, desperately, desperately hoping that Rabbids/Mario crossover was a fake fever-dream of Ubisoft's.
-
All it really needs is Todd waltzing up to deliver the same "modders must be paid" spiel that Gabe tried to give to confirm it.
-
Only five hours and some change until Todd Howard tells us lies, tells us lies, tells us sweet little lies.

I can't wait to play all four Xbone games on a box that does the same stuff for $200 more. Just look at all these timed exclusives! Also that guy slipped up and called it an "Xbone" himself. Even Microsoft internally knows their name-scheme didn't catch on.
-
So far I've heard about a Battlefield game that still has less content than a PS2 game and been regaled with the tale of approximately one man clapping in the entire audience who was probably paid to do so. Dis E3 gon' b gud.

The matchmaker was designed to reduce wait times and increase map options.

Absolutely the shotgun's underestimated, in the close quarters you'll typically be whipping it out for (and the close quarters where a launcher is untenable unless you enjoy hurting yourself for funsies) it's absolutely devastating providing you can aim worth a damn. There's a reason it's Engi's primary. -

Loose I want to congratulate you on your spectacular taste in loadouts, especially so because I barely ever see the Direct Hit anymore. I've been attached to my Direct Miss ever since I first picked up the game and I've never found any of the backpacks useful enough to warrant switching away from my shotgun. -

All I'm sayin' is the Never Die Samurai may or may not have some extra chromosomes stashed away somewhere for safekeeping. -

I don't screw around during play but I certainly don't treat TF2 with any degree of seriousness when there's poorly-hidden laser towers or wooden-prop cows around and all the characters are goofy stereotypes or spy-fi references who verbally dump on eachother during domination lines. Lorem ipsum "serious game in a non-serious setting", but I don't think of TF2 as a serious or even really competitive game in the slightest outside of a match. No I'm talking about legitimately good players popping up to totally and completely derail a server, not some waste charging around with a sword and shield or a Soldier who thinks Black Box/Concheror/Half-Zatoichi is a good idea and manages to do well because he's got a girlfriend Medic and everybody else has an IQ ten points lower than he does. -

"Tryhards" is kind of the wrong word so I went with that. "Wannabes"? Maybe? Throw me a bone here. Either way it would be people who take the game far more seriously than they have any real right to, though I'd contest the notion skilled/competitive players don't play pubs in the first place considering my experiences with pubstompers. -

I think hackers are still just as prevalent but we're noticing them more because there's fewer players in pubs. The worst is when those fartknockers have four or five bootlickers with them ready to votekick somebody else to try and cover up for the hacker.
