Ah right, sorry, I just misunderstood what you said (and about half of this thread), and I'd agree with you anyway, at least to a person who's never read Homestuck they're all just grey skinned guys with orange horns, you have to read it* to get to know all the little details of the characters and be able to set them apart. If I can't tell who a Steam friend is based on their name or avatar, I click the little arrow then 'View Aliases' and then I know. It's that easy. *I AM NOT SAYING YOU MUST READ IT IN GENERAL, JUST IF YOU WANTED TO BE ABLE TO TELL THEM APART EASILY.

All I did was answer your question about how they're all different, I don't particularly mind if people can't tell my favourite alien apart from the others by my avatars and if they're not interested in Homestuck I'm not sure why they'd want or need to :(In the same vein if I see someone with an anime character as their avatar, I'm not really interested in which one it is, and I don't need to know.

The horns are all different shapes and sizes(!)For example, Karkat has nubby little horns, Terezi's are sharp and conical, one of Equius' is broken etc. They all also have different eyes/glasses, mouths, hairstyles and stuff but it's much easier to see that when they're drawn in the regular no arm style.oh and jeez, the symbols on their shirts

Click the little arrow next to someone's name, click Add Nickname, put in whatever you refer to them as, and you're done. Looks like this:

Hey guys, try going to TF2 in your Steam library and clicking the 'Forums' link on the right hand side....that isn't SPUF, is it.Valve clearly no longer want to have SPUF as their official location to discuss TF2. Some people are speculating that they're phasing out SPUF in favour of this new Steam Community integrated thing. And boy are there some quality discussions there! So: If you, as a SPUFer, were in this game, what would your character look like? What would your signature hat and weapon be? What would your FINAL REP SMASH be? Who would be the final boss of this game, and who would the level bosses be? What in the ♥♥♥♥ possessed me to even imagine this?
