Should've named it Call of Duty: World War 2: War Harder. That'd get people's attention.

I continue to enjoy Bill. She's my favorite Companion since Donna (and I really liked Donna).

It's too bad about Destiny. It had the POTENTIAL to be good, if not great. If they'd spent more time refining the gunplay to Reach's standards (IMO still the best Halo game), diversified the classes a bit (really all it determined was a fancy active skill and how fast one of your bars regenerates), and hadn't left a few whole weapon classes completely useless it would have been fun to play. There was a decent mission variety in some locations, so that just needed a little sprucing, and the Raids and world events were actually really cool. Basically...it needed to be more like Borderlands as far as gameplay to be worth it. It seemed like two different team worked on the core gameplay and the RPG elements and neither communicated well enough to really meld them together. Maybe Destiny 2 will be surprisingly good, though I won't hold my breath.

Marvel hasn't had the movie/TV rights for Spiderman or the X-Men for like 20 years now, and recently made a deal with Sony that gives them Spiderman back. They have so much leverage now it's doubtful that they renegotiated to their disadvantage on the video game market Re: X-Men and Spiderman. It's not an issue with Marvel if they're not in there.

I feel like Capcom and Konami have both been trying to self destruct for a while now. They all keep making these decisions that seem painstakingly engineered for the sole purpose of pissing off their fanbase, be it shady pay models, mistreating voice actors (David Hayter, Terence Rotolo) and pissing off their fans, things nobody wants ("Hey let's tease a new entry in a franchise people love and would love to see a new game of...oh BTW it's a pachinko machine!"), and anything else they can pull out their ass to make people hate them.

    Doctor Who

So, it's been a year and a half since the last episode, give or take. The new one was...fine. The monster of the week made no god damn sense and I'm thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to making a drinking game for every time a shy, timid girl gains nigh-omnipotence or some other superpower in this show, but I like Bill, I like Capaldi, and everything that didn't have to do with the rock stupid plot was fun.

I feel like you would have hated my guts if we ever played together because my standard loadout was the 870 with slugs and the Carl Gustav.

Have the chance to play Dark Souls 3 finally, made it up to the Cathedral of the Deep. I've been playing with the Demon Fists (my friend dropped them for me not far into the game) and I haven't decided whether I like them yet. They don't feel as POWERFUL as the Bone Fist did, but they look cool. More importantly, I just cannot get into the rhythm of this game. It's a weird middle ground between the slow, methodical pace of Dark Souls 2 and a truly fast paced game like Devil May Cry and it throws me way off. There's certain enemies (the big-ish halberd wielding guys in the Cathedral for example) I just can't consistently deal with. I think the problem is how much harder it is to stagger most enemies in this game or, at least, with this weapon. They just wail on me through any hits I give them, which is something only the really big enemies that were twice your size would do in DS2. Coupled with the tiny backstab radius and HUGE enemy swing radii and the way too long combos they do and I feel more helpless, and not in a good way. Every encounter seems to be either "I can murder this guy in a couple of swings" or "PANIC BUTTON HELP". Hopefully it clicks sometime soon. It took me until I started over once in DS2 before I really grokked the game (I got up to the Iron Fortress and started over after I got tired of beating my head against a wall), so I may just need more time with it. Admittedly, part of my problem is the really unfocused build I gravitated toward. I started Deprived like I usually do, and due to the immensely spread out scaling for the Demon Fists I invested a lot into Str and a bit in Int/Fth, then pumped Vit because you're not allowed to carry ANYTHING and still fast roll in this game so my HP sucked and my damage is eh overall. It'll probably come together soon (or not at all).

What song are you listening to RIGHT now?

Had this one running through my head for the past hour. Not sure why.
  16. "Scrum Master" is such a dumb fucking title but after the bullshit of that exam it feels sweet.

I'm beginning to think doing the main game stuff after the DLC areas was a mistake, the main game areas I've been blitzing through feel way too easy by comparison. Going into Aldia's Keep now, which near as I can tell is near endgame? I already beat Ornstein and Smough Junior, so I have little else to do before the final boss. Looking forward to seeing how New Game+ changes things though, I don't know if it just makes everything stronger or it changes enemy types or what. I know drops are different apparently. I'll probably change my build again after NG+. Maybe something goofy like dual rapiers or whips.

Late to the party as always, I've been binging Kaiji. Watching a man sit in a chair playing pachinko for 8 episodes and counting is more exciting than it has any right to be.

You neglected to mention that the LB-RB stunlock combo only works if you're NOT Power Stanced. =p The uppercut barrage is indeed pretty funny. Even on figuring that out, I've come to realize it pales in comparison to using the Bone Fist as a 2H weapon. It looks dumb before you start attacking, but the RT (strong attack) is DEVASTATING. It hits about 180 degrees in front of you and whoever gets hit is sent flying. Including enemies that you'd think would be immune to the knockback. If you're fighting a big fucker like the Rampart Golems in Eleum Loyce (the big dudes with the spears and shields) you can knock them down and then just keep knocking them down the instant they get up if you time it right. Plus it look sweet. You basically just flex and pose and dudes get knocked back. The basic attack (RB/R1) is a stomp that actually has 360 degree coverage (great for pesky doges), followed up by a flurry of strong punches. The Power Stance stuff is occasionally useful for the Hadoken and strong attack (Palm strike-Flying Kick) but the basic attack strings seem like absolute garbage in comparison even if they do look cool. They don't do nearly as much Poise damage as the dual Caestus did so I can't just stunlock dudes by mashing LB repeatedly. The only upside is that the Bone Fist apparently makes you unstaggerable so you can just eat a hit to hit through just about anything if you need to. Long story short, I like this weapon, even if it isn't quite as reliable as the Caestii have been. So far, anyway. I have yet to fight a boss with it (and the slight trouble I had with the Covetous Demon Redux doesn't bode well), that may be a sticking point. The only MAJOR gripe I have with it is its durability is shit. I've taken to equipping another Caestus as my second RH weapon so I can focus down trash mobs and save the Bone Fist for dudes I need to kill in two shots, mobs, and big guys. Or just so I have a backup if it gets too low on durability. This might change if I can find somewhere to buy or quickly farm Repair Powders. I'm up to the Old Chaos now and I just got my ass pounded twice by the knights down there. We'll see how this goes, I may leave Eleum Loyce for now and continue with Drangleic Castle until I git gud with the Bone Fist enough to take on hordes of guys that are surprisingly stagger resistant.

Negro please, like I ain't already wearing the Stone Ring. I've got Ring of Blades, Stone Ring, Chloranthy Ring, and the Ring of Protection +1 (because even in Dark Souls, I can't fully escape the Big Six). When I'm not playing naked grabass, I'm wearing Havel's Gauntlets and Boots and wearing Vengarl's Helm. So I look like a shirtless dog-man with chains all over my arms. Pretty nice. As for the second part...but muh palm strike --> Flying kick But I'll give it a shot.
