Now do it with just the Gravity Gun, without cheats. Whimper as you lose your saw blade off in the distance somewhere, and have to resort to killing the big ones with the black headcrabs all over them with nothing but a cinderblock and a milk jug. Parts of Episode 1 (2?) are also pretty spooky if you're going for the "One Free Bullet" achievement.

Oh yeah. Buy Wind Waker to go along with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

1.) TF2 2.) Minecraft 3.) Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Skyrim (or both) 4.) Dragon Age: Origins 5.) Halo 4 (or whatever newest good Halo comes out next) 6.) Borderlands (not 2. Couldn't play it as much without getting bored) 7.) Dungeon Defenders 8.) Kingdom Hearts series (I've played them too many times. Counts as replay value) 9.) Battlefield 3 10.) Red Dead Redemption No particular order.

Little old but it's the first I've seen of it.

Yeah. If you're going to read it for anything read for the characters. I dunno, I may revisit the series when I can get my hands on all of 'em in order again, but somewhere between the stupid-ass Letherii nonsense and the overload of characters (and killing off of good ones) I lost interest the first time around. Decent, yes, but LOTR worthy? I'd say no.
-
I haven't seen Quick Ben in forever. Toll the Hounds is alright I guess, got a lot of action at least. I couldn't care less about the Lether or whatever though, and I couldn't force myself through Dust of Dreams at all. IMHO it kind of peaked with Bonehunters (I believe, been a while since I read 'em) and then went downhill from there. First 2 books were masterworks and if the series had mostly focused on the Bridge Burners (Fiddler and Kalam especially) with some of the side characters like Anomander Rake getting more focus, and that one hilarious Barbarian badass guy it would've been amazing but the books jump around too much and keeps killing off the only ones I really cared about so I just stopped.

Urgh. I want to endorse it but TBH after a while the series collapses in on itself in a wretched pile of aborted plotlines, bad writing, and "Why the fuck should I care about these" characters.

Cervat Yerli of CryTek "Single-player should be online single-player."
Rynjin replied to Stackbabbin' Bumscags's topic in Current Events, News & Politics
Only because people don't know how to make good single player games any more. A good game is like a good movie or a good book, you'll want to re-experience it. -
Activision and EA's collective penises became rock hard with that idea. Look at it this way, you spend on average $100-$120 for a game with DLC. $60 for the game, $10-$20 apiece for DLC. Once you've got everything, you're good. So then this asshole comes in with his idea. I played Borderlands from the Christmas after it came out up until about 3 months before Borderlands 2 was set to release. That's roughly 3 years of gameplay, for which I paid that rough $120 (I bought some DLC on sale even though they were all $20 I believe). With that 3 years of gameplay, with Chesse's idea, I would've paid $180 in subscriptions (36 months by $5 a month) and then another $60-$80 in DLC. FOR ONE GAME. Keep in mind, I would also be paying that $5 a month for any other game I was playing at that time, which was Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Halo Reach mostly, but there were other games too. So I would have spent somewhere in the ballpark of $460 more dollars (assuming I played those games for 2 years, so not counting the time BEFORE Reach was released) for a grand total of $700-$720 (instead of rough 350-400 at maximum) just to play those games for two years and have Shivering Isles plus the Fallout 3 DLC. While still owing money for those games every month, plus whatever new ones I might start to want playing regularly (Fallout: New Vegas, Halo 4, Borderlands 2, etc.). ♥♥♥♥ THAT.

Congratulations chesse20 you killed gaming.

Looks hella neat. If they deliver on what they're promising there it could be a BIG deal.
-
Ya know, right? The next one is gonna be Skin Job, it's another Denarian story, so should be neat.
-
Bah, they had it PERFECT with Mass Effect 3 and then went and fucked it up. Couldn't just leave well enough alone and have microtransactions for small boosts, cosmetics, and minor time savers, could you?

1.) Glad to hear you and your family are okay. 2.) No offense if you liked the guy or all the facts aren't presented here (which is likely), but it looks like this was the best possible outcome. If there's two things I can't stand in this world it's violent drunks and wife beaters. Though I do sympathize with the children/wife.
