Welcome! As someone who's on the Game Design track right now I can tell you what you want is called Game Development. Design is more about project management and being the "ideas guy" whereas Development is the programming. Hope that's helpful to ya. ;)

They should be, but they never have been. You can look back at old news sheets from just after the Revolutionar War and tehy're still biased as all hell. No idea how long the detainment limit will here, so life ruining is not really a given. @Verumae: That was MSNBC, so it wasn't local unless there are separate MSNBC stations for local news. I don't watch MSNBC much so I dunno.
