And yes, I do think gun control is a great idea, to an extent. Why DO people need semi-auto rifles? Those literally have no other purpose but to kill the most people in the most efficient way possible. They're not hunting weapons and they're not self-defense weapons, their sole purpose is to kill other human beings in large quantities.

Not really. Selling out would imply that they were trying to keep some artistic/journalistic integrity in the first place. They play games to be amusing, have fun, and make money. This lets them play a game, be amusing, have fun, and make even more money. A reviewer being paid to say good things about the game is selling out. A player being paid to say things (not even good things mind you, they riffed the shit out of the game) about the game is just being intelligent.
