It' one of the better movies I've seen in a while. Certainly best of the X-Men franchise. As far as comic book movies go, about as good as The Winter Soldier was. Crotchety old Xavier is the best, BTW.

All these people going apeshit over the live action Beauty and the Beast have kept me in chuckles for a bit. "Oh no! Le Fou is gay! What a travesty, stop shoving your gay agenda!" Wow, the guy who sang a 3 minute love ballad about how manly, muscular, and swell-chinned another man is is gay? Color me shocked. Shocked I say!

I dunno, I usually hate moeshit but it sounds like an interesting premise at least. I might check it out.

I feel you. I've mostly cut ties with most of my family but I still can't bring myself to really lay into them if I hear them say something stupid (over Facebook, mostly). You put a lot of weight on your family's words and actions.

I don't get how family members can be like that. Even if you don't like or care about the hobby, you can at least enjoy the fact that the person you love enjoys it and be happy for them.

I watched a lot more new/currently airing anime this year than usual (4 or 5), so I'd call it a solid year. JoJo was great, as expected. I don't see how part 5 is going to top it unless the King Crimson memes are on point, but that's just because the Duwang Gang are such an endearing band of lovable motherfuckers that it's hard to top. Boku no Hero was a bit of a surprise to me because I hadn't read the manga. I expected it to be average to good shonen fare, but MAN I love Deku, and his rivalry with Bakugo somehow manages to feel fresh and exciting. Maybe because I actually like both characters in their own way instead of hating the edgy rival guy. Tiger Mask W was my biggest surprise of the year. I don't even like wrestling, but I gave it a shot just for shits and giggles and I'm really enjoying it week after week. Watching Tiger Mask and JoJo back to back nearly gave me testosterone poisoning when they were both running concurrently. Konosuba is great, though I jumped on the bandwagon a bit late (as in I caught up about a day before the most recent episode of season 2 came out). That show is genuinely laugh out loud funny, and a gold mine of reaction images (with Aqua's snerk in the most recent episode being perhaps the best yet). My MOM watches and laughs at the show, and she doesn't even like anime. And I think those are all the ones I watched through this year. I need to watch Mob Psycho, just haven't gotten to it yet. Anime I attempted to watch: Magi: Labyrinth of Magic (not as good as season1, dub took a steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep nosedive in quality) Dimension W (boring, overall meh) Drifters (seemed interesting, for some reason I just stopped after 1 episode) Endride (not even Ian Sinclair could save this) Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (my brother and I took bets on how long it would take the Cleric to die around the middle of episode 1. We watched up to that point, then stopped.) And special recognition goes to Taboo Tattoo for "most generic anime of the year", which I dropped after 1 episode. Endride gets second place.

It's always been like that to an extent but it certainly seems more prevalent now. I've always stuck by "Say what you mean and mean what you say" in regards to politics. If you say it, even as a joke, I'm going to hold you to it (or hold it against you). Because even if it IS a joke the fact that you said something that stupid, or racist, or factually incorrect in the first place in public in front of the whole nation is an indicator that you lack the judgment to hold office in the first place. Every campaign is going to have a few faux pas but Jesus H tapdancing Christ it was out of control on both sides this cycle.

Weird one. Basically, I was a serial killer. Also a Hobbit for some reason. I went around killing people dressed in nothing but wool booties and gloves (maybe underwear? It never panned down or up enough from hands/feet). The booties glowed and shimmered for some reason. Also they were blue and had little stars and rainbows and stuff sewed into them. These are important details. At the start of the dream, I had 8 victims. When I killed them I'd remove their heads and do...something with them. It wasn't clear. Ass I as hiding the evidence of my latest kill,a police officer arrived. Thankfully it was all bagged up, and having a reputation for being a bit eccentric (and a fucking Hobbit serious what was with that?) I told her was burying some treasure (mementos) in my back yard and she believed me (they were actually the boots/gloves and murder weapon. Also maybe a head. Not sure.). Then she decided to live with me for a while, which threw a damper on my plans. I remember feeling nervous and anxious the whole time the dream played out. More so when the detective started searching every inch of my house in the guise of cleaning up the mess. I resolved that I'd have to throw away my sweet gloves when she wasn't paying attention so she wouldn't go searching the back yard. It was at this point the dream shifted a bit and I was a little girl for some reason. Also the plot point was revealed that my little sister made them for herself, and she became my first victim when I was jealous over her cool gloves. Anywho the detective was distracted by a child lost in a cave so while she (or he, it kept swapping) was occupied I grabbed my shit and threw them in the trash where they were subsequently buried by the storm of cleaning later. By the end of the dream suspicion had been thrown off somewhat, but there was a lingering feeling of fear since the trash didn't go out until Tuesday (it was Sunday), and the officer was staying a while longer, and wanted to take another peek through the trash... The end.

It was at this temp without the humidity last week and my neighbor was wearing a scarf and jacket to mow his lawn.

Snow isn't even hard to drive in. You guys have mud in Georgia, it's basically the exact same.

If we want to go into best games I PLAYED this year though, the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 remix was excellent, and so was Dark Souls 2.

I didn't play many new games this year. Dragonball Xenoverse 2, Kirby Planet Robobot, and Pokemon Moon were it I think. Of those I spent the most time with Xenoverse, but I think despite not beating it yet Moon might be my favorite. Robobot, like all Kirby games, was just short and fun, but I'd definitely give it the prize for trippiest fucking ending this year. Next year, assuming I get a new computer like I plan to, things might be different. There's some good stuff supposed to be coming.
