Why would you trust the opinion of a bunch of basement dwelling autistic faggots (by their own admission)? Just get the game. GET IT. GET IT NAO!

Oh, to clarify, SOME of the games on my Steam list are some I played a bunch on Xbox but got on sale because they were cheap. I plan to finish Stranger's Wrath some time soon though. After I finish Dishonored (2 days!). And maybe after I figure out how to get EZCap to record in MOTHERFUCKING FULLSCREEN so I can finish my KH Let's Play. I don't care if no one watches it at this point, this damn thing has become my white whale.

Basically everything on my Steam game list.

Apparently there's an Arthur comic creator out now. The internet is why we can't have nice things. -

Let's start with a bit of unnecessary censorship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9KDPTyTfvM -
I read the first 4-5 books (which was the one with the cannibal and the girls who WANT to be eaten? That's the last one I read), but I could never get into the TV show. I hear it picks up after season 1 and makes some drastic improvements to the books' plots so I'm thinking about picking it up again here soon.

North Korea: The Times They Are A' Changin'.
Rynjin replied to Rynjin's topic in Current Events, News & Politics
All jokes aside, this is actually a bigger leap than it seems, and if they continue like this it means he's doing this right. People in a country that has had so many restrictions all these long decades would not even begin to know how to react if he just said "Bam! You can do anything most other free countries can do", and it could quite honestly lead to riots out of sheer confusion. Taking it one step at a time by reintroducing little things like (I assume he means stuff like slacks and jeans in general) for women, and previously banned foodstuffs and working his way up to the bigger things is the best way to do it. -
Yees, yeeeeees, now use tropes to write essays for AP Literature and pass like a boss.

Which is why you just ask them to look it up in the computer. -Butt Stallion

I'll check some of those out, the ones I haven't watched anyway. Though I'm surprised they put Claymore up there, I thought it was pretty bad compared to the manga.

This is mostly a selfish thread to get people to suggest things for me to watch, but it also can act as an overall animated series suggestion list. I'll start off by giving some good things to watch off the top of my head and a short description of them, and then everyone else can chime in with other ideas of good shows, be they anime or western cartoons. I would ask that the western cartoons be kept to the more action/serious genre, instead of stuff like Adventure Time or whatever that are mostly comedies. Oh, also, I don't do subs, so dubs only please. I'll begin. Anime Deadman Wonderland - I just finished this one and it's pretty great. Ganta (the main character) was a normal high school student until a mysterious man in red comes in and slaughters his entire class. He gets convicted for the murders, and is sent to the eponymous prison, a prison that doubles as an amusement park, where the prisoners are used as the attractions in deadly games of skill, and they must win points from these games to buy food and "Candy" (the antidote to a poison pumped into them by their collars) or they will starve or otherwise die. Ending is rushed, but it's good stuff anyway. One Piece - For those who don't know what it is (this shouldn't be likely but whatever), the anime is surprisingly good (Funimation dub only, of course). It follows the adventures of a guy named Luffy, who is made of rubber, and his pirate crew. Is all you need to know. One of the long runners with no end in sight. Code Geass - Giant robots, magical powers, and a somewhat villainous protagonist that has the universe shit all over him at every turn. It's great fun to watch. Sub-titled "Lelouch of the Rebellion". Basic premise: Lelouch tries to overthrow the Brittanian Empire, which has taken over the majority of the world. Second season is named "Code Geass R2" if you have trouble fining it. Angel Beats - Boy is sent to purgatory after he dies, with a whole bunch of other people trapped there with some sort of lingering regret that keeps them trapped. First half of the serious is hilarious, but towards the end it takes a dark and heart wrenching turn. Baccano - A group of immortals in 1930's New York, three interlocking myseteries, and two of the greatest comic relief characters ever conceived. WATCH NAO! Yu Yu Hakusho - Main character dies and comes back to life as a "Spirit Detective" which is a fancy name for "Guy who kicks demon's asses". If you like Shonen fight anime, this one's a must watch. No matter what trope it is, this did it first. And probably better. If DBZ came first then this one just did it better, not first. Samurai Champloo - One samurai and Stephen Blum escort a young woman to find "The Man Who Smells of Sunflowers". Baseball episode alone is worth watching the series for. Fullmetal Alchemist - Two kids try to bring their mom back to life and lose Ed and Al lose limb and life (respectively) for trying. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Same premise as above, completely different plotline after the first few episodes. Dragon Ball Z - If you like earth shattering kabooms and lots of grunting, this one's for you. Dragon Ball - Little kid with serious issues with pants tries to find 7 magical balls that will grant a wish. Hellsing - A vampire named Alucard utterly annihilates anyone who looks at him funny. Definitely worth watching if you like seeing assholes get shredded to pieces by a guy who finds it amusing. Shin Chan - The only words I have are WTF. Death Note - High School kid gets a notebook that kills anyone whose name he writes in it (as long as he knows their face). He quickly develops a god complex. Hilarity and mental fencing ensue. Western Animation: ANYTHING in the main DC Animated Universe, Batman the Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Justice League (Unlimited is actually the same show, they renamed it for season 3 onward), Teen Titans (not sure if that one counts). Some stuff from the Marvel animated universe. Honestly the only ones I've watched are the Spiderman and X-Men cartoons, but I'm not sure how well they hold up without ye olde nostalgia filter. Ben 10 - Less so Alien Force onward, but I think the sequel series' are pretty good too. The original is definitely a must-watch however. Basic premise: boy gets an alien watch that lets him turn into 10 different alien forms to combat evil. Hijinks ensue. Gargoyles - Probably the best thing Disney ever created. Basically Gargoyles are real creatures that come to life at night but turn to stone by day. They are cursed by a wizard due to a misunderstanding and are trapped in stone for hundreds of years before the curse has a loophole abused by a rich dude named David Xanatos. Tropers may recognize the name as being a guy who has AN ENTIRE INDEX NAMED AFTER HIM (about plots, plans, and in general intelligent villains). Avatar the Last Airbender - Aang is the Avatar, a repeatedly reincarnated master of the elements in a world where one elemnet per person is the rule. It's his duty to keep the world in balance, but he was frozen in a block of ice for 100 years, leading to the Fire Nation basically conquering the world. Xiaolin Showdown - four kids train to become xiaolin (or is it shaolin?) dragons, accompanied by an actual dragon. I think it's fairly serious-ish with jokes thrown in on the side, but it was one of my favourite series as a kid. Samurai Jack - A Samurai gets sent into the future by an evil demon guy named Aku so his magic sword is incapable of destroying him. Now, in the future where Aku rules all, he must find a way back to the past to destroy his nemesis. Boondocks - Black people. Black problems. A whole lot of weird shenanigans. Venture Brothers - Yeah I was never very clear on the initial premise of this one because I caught it at first in the middle of season 2 or 3 I believe, but it's a great show. I'll probably think of more later, but for now that's all I can think of. Suggestions I haven't tried: G Gundam Cowboy Bebop Paranoia Agent Koi Kaze Suggestions I've tried but did not like: Case Closed Lupin the 3rd FLCL Rurouni Kenshin The Addam's Family Cartoon (I'd rather watch the live action show). Suggestions I've tried but hated with a severe passion: Superjail

I hadn't. I just looked it up. I still don't see why I should've known about it. Edit: Though I admit this made me lol:

I noticed we didn't have a thread for this series yet. Dragon Age: Origins is one of my favorite games ever made. One of the only games I put a lot of hours into for the Xbox 360, besides Oblivion and TF2. It's got a great story, great choices, and is all around superior to the Mass Effect series in every way. I would call it one of the top 10 RPGs of all time, and ♥♥♥♥ YOU IGN for not putting it on there when you put ALL THREE Mass Effect games on your Top 100 list. Played an Elf Mage (Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage) and had a blast throughout the game and the story relevant DLC, being the biggest prick I could get away with being. Dragon Age 2 is...well replace "Ultima" with "Dragon Age" at around 0:14. So, does anybody else love this glorious game and abject failure of a sequel? Okay okay, before someone jumps down my throat about it, DA2 was not a terrible game...on its own. It would actually be pretty good...if it were a new IP. As a followup to Dragon Age: Origins? OH HELL NO. It's like EA and Bioware looked at the original, thought to themselves "What did everybody love about Dragon Age again? Oh yeah.", named off all the things that made the first game great, and then ripped every shred of that out of DA2.

More added to the watched already and loved category. Though they're MOSTLY comedy.

Oh thanks for giving me a basis for a new list. Also, why does everyone keep suggesting love stories?

What. -
Like I said, I'll try it again some time. I literally don't remember anything about the show other than I didn't like it and what Lupin looked like. And that he was a thief.
-
Sorry, I just didn't. It's been a while though so I may rewatch some of it.
-
Updated OP with stuff and short descriptions.
-
I'll start adding suggestions I've already watched to the OP. Also, chances are whatever you're watching probably has a dub version somewhere, so suggest it anyway if you think it does.
-
See, I keep hearing this. And I KNOW it's true. And then I'm like "I'll watch it later". And then I forget.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose. They weren't exactly trying to avoid innuendo. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JQJ2_y1KXk Especially at
