This is true.I've never felt like I was at a disadvantage with just the stock stuff though. Admittedly I'm only around level 18, but still.

Seconded. I only played it once (before it was on Steam) but it was pretty fun.But "The party system is nearly nonexistent" would be a better description.

Basically the title. I want to do one more, from scratch runthrough of Borderlands before 2 comes out. This includes all of the main quests, any side quests the group decides to do (I don't think anyone would object to Skagzilla or Mothraak though eh?), and all the DLC (Bar the Underdome, it's long and boring as hell) when we get to playthrough 2, starting with Zombie Island. Anyone that wants to participate, chime in down below. Some ground rules though: [*]Share the wealth. Don't just pick up items to sell them if someone else wants them. Leave everything lying around until all the players have a chance to pick through them, unless it's complete and utter shit (I'm not going to begrudge you for picking up the level 30 equivalent of the Busted Shotgun that sells for 70K for some reason). [*] [*]I would prefer no Sirens, but this one's not concrete. In my experience, Sirens make the game in general (and ESPECIALLY boss fights) short and easy, which kinda kills the experience. [*] [*]Let's try to only do the sidequests that everyone agrees on, unless they happen to be on the way to do something else and are quick and easy. Reason being, I realize it's hard for everyone to set up the time to play a co-op game when we live so far apart, and I don't want to start without the 4 initial group members we pick up, because that kinda ruins the feel of it. [*] [*]This one's not so much a rule as a question. I've done a No shields/No Rapid Fire Weapons/No Fire Tech Weapons run of Zombie Island before. It is REALLY fun, and makes Borderlands seem more like a Survival Horror game than "Lol Zombies can't touch my Volcano". Would anyone be interested in this? [*]
