Mostly backstory, or side stories. Main plots are cool and all, but it's the side shit and the character's pasts and personalities that makes it interesting to me. Character driven stories >>>>>> Plot driven stories IMHO.Part of the reason I like Fallout 3 so much better than New Vegas. New Vegas has a better main plot, kinda, if you add in the DLC (and the whole Courier vs Ulysses plot), but NV's side quests are, for the most part in the main game, BAD. Terribly horribly bad IMO because you don't give a fuck about any of the characters in them. At all.FO3's side quests? You cared about them in SOME WAY. Maybe you liked them, maybe you HATED them, maybe you were just amused by something they said, but there was always some little thing that made you interested enough to stick it through for more than just the possibility of a reward.That, and I prefer FO3 Retraux fiction Sci Fi cheesiness 1000x better than NV's more serious take. Yes, I know NV harks back to the first two games, and they wer egood too (I still enjoy NV) but I think Bethesda did a better job with the setting than Black isles/Obsidian ever did.
