This is a surprisingly good game, does anyone play it?Despite the F2P price gouging aspects, it's got a very fast paced (for an MMO) combat system, and oodles of character customization. The missions are fairly interesting too.Also, the game plays AMAZINGLY with an Xbox controller.Anyone wanna jump in-game and smash some heads some time? I play Villain.

But if we party up...What level were you? I got to level 12, quit for a while, and started playing again an hour ago.

There's perks for that.I can shoot a Mini-nuke at my feet and only deal about half HP damage with the Duck and Cover perk.As for Unarmed/Melee, getting the Super Slam perk/Wielding Pushy makes it a cinch to keep safe. Don't knock it 'til you try it. Oblivion: Can run fast enough to use the mountains as a RAMP if you want to, much less just walk up them. Also, horses defy gravity in that game.Skyrim: There's a path or two up every mountain, and a good half can be climbed. Fallout 3: Same as Skyrim, but happens as often as Oblivion.Morrowind: Has a levitation spell.New Vegas: Has invisible walls that make it LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to climb up slopes in some ares. Poor POOR game design there, IMO.In the other games, you could just jump a bunch and zig zag and you got caught in the "groove paths" in the mountains and could work your way up.

Fuck bullets and Energy Weapons. They're too precise to hit the little buggers. Hit 'em with Explosives of Melee/Unarmed if you wanna do some real damage.Also, at anyone who has trouble with ye old Cazadores, and has the Old World Blues DLC:A.) Get the Implant GRX Perk. ESPECIALLY if you're playing Unarmed/Melee.B.) Go get that perk that makes you kill Cazadores almost instantly. The game is more fun when you pick a specialty and do that IMO. Makes every playthrough different. So if you're a Melee specialist, use Melee 3/4 of the time (or swap between that and Unarmed) and pick ONE ranged Specialty. I usually end up going Explosives. THEN, get everything that makes that specialty better as you go through the game, and ignore everything else. "Fallout or any Bethesda RPG"?Nope. That's JUST NEW VEGAS. So I believe you mean "Any Obsidian RPG".Because in Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Morrowind you COULD go straight over mountains and shit that blocked your path. Skyrim you can only do it ~50% of the time, but still.

New Vegas? Melee is REALLY REALLY REALLY good in NV. As is Unarmed.I suggest trying to snag a Thermic Lance and Oh Baby! ASAP.Actually, scratch that. Get Chance's Knife and get the Super Slam perk, or go for Bloodnap if you have the Lonesome Road DLC.As for start of game, I'll let you figure out which are best on your own. Hint: Some...unlikely weapons are VERY good.

This, AND it's less likely to jam than the Combat Shotgun, since it only has two chances to do so before it busts completely. Unlike the CS which can jam up to 10 times I think.Edit: I looked it up. It can actually fire one MORE shot than the Combat Shotgun before breaking. Errrrr...Lincoln's Repeater fires .44 Magnum ammo.It's Ol' Painless that's the TRUE Unique Hunting Rifle.

...Well shit.So, my favorite weapon is the Terrible Shotgun. At Guil: Try speccing a character to crit as much as humanly possible. You can hit upwards of 1200 damage a shot on a critical, depending on where you hit. I make sure to get this thing ASAP on every playthrough, along with A3-21's Plasma Rifle.Close second?
