  1. I'm not sure if this is part of his plan or what but I'm about ready to vote for Jeb just out of pity.

Starting to see the use of Blessed Hammer now. I just wasn't spamming it hard enough before.
  3. Neither murdering nor voting would do that. It would require an entire rewrite of our legal system. And some law invented to de-incentivize lawyers from making their own practice and actually getting paid, because "Can afford a good lawyer" versus "Cannot" is just as sure of a way to lose as "Can bury you in frivolous countersuits because I have money to blow and you don't to fight them". How does it work in the Netherlands?

I'm surprised at how chill the Crusader is, dialogue-wise. I was expecting him to be all "SMITE THE EVIL BATHE IN THE BLOOD OF THE UNWORTHY" like the Templar was, but he seems like he'd be a pretty cool dude to hang around with. So Crusader and Witch Doctor end up being the only two characters who aren't complete douchebags,
  5. All that AND they're talking shit about my grandma Ruth? Man fuck these guys.
  6. They tried to copyright (or as it trademark?) the word "react".

I have it on, but I still have two locked ability slots since I only got to 12. Are there Runes that make it more reliable or something? It barely ever hits anyone.

Well, I broke down and bought the DLC. Between the Seasonal objectives being impossible to complete without Adventure mode and the Crusader seeming pretty cool, it seemed like I should. Enjoying it so far. A bit disappointed that seemingly every one of the Signature skills besides Punish sucks ass though. And the award for "most useless/unreliable skill in the game" goes to that shitty hammer that flies in a circle. When my other options are "Charge super far and pound a group" or "Whack a bunch of dudes with a spirit mace", the useless hammer that hits a guy once for piddling damage before swirling into a wall seems like a bad idea...
  9. I bought it and there was horrific unplayable slowdown so I got it refunded.

I dun have DLC, so no Crusader. I've never gotten even a single piece of a specific item set. Do they only show up at really high levels or just require some specific set of circumstances?

So, I'm trying to figure out which class to take to 70, because I'm having a lot of fun this go around. Expert mode is more fun than the other difficulties I have available by a long shot. I've played all the classes sans Crusader, but to varying levels. Here are my general experiences. Monk (Level 40+)- Great damage, good tanking ability, lots of GONGing to do. I like it. Seems pretty steady effectiveness from 1 on. Not too hard, not too easy. Witch Doctor (40+)- RIDICULOUS damage output so far. Fun, kooky aesthetic. Got kind of bored with the skills though, as most seem best spent on "Get mo' minions", so I'm chucking Firebombs and pots of deadly black widows at people while my minions body block for me. Game has been easy peasy since level 1, and that ease hasn't slacked off. Wizard (40+ Hard, 24 Expert/Season)- Relatively more difficult than the above at start, but things have gotten super easy with the addition of Disintegrate, which is my favorite spell. I just love watching lines of enemies *POOF* as my little red line of death sweeps over them. Barbarian (19)- Comparatively? BALLS HARD. I LOVE the aesthetic of all the skills. Hulk Smash, Hulk summon giant spirit mace of ancestors to crush puny men, but the Barbarian can't tank for shit, at least compared to the Monk, which is just sad, and it's taking more hits to kill things than other characters too (or, at least, the same number of hits as Wizard was pre-Disentegrate...except I'm smack in the middle of a the crowd of fuck you monsters instead of 20nyards back, chillin') Demon Hunter (11): Sucks ass, piddly damage, squishy as fuck, and all his skills are doofy. No likey. Only thing good about him is dual wielding crossbows is neato. The main point of all this I guess is: Is there a point where A.) The Barbarian comes into his own? Because I would really like to play the Barbarian if he gets god at some point. I can tough it out to a certain level if I know there's a threshold where suddenly his abilities start synergizing better and such, which is what happens with Wizard around level 20 (since before then he's kinda meh). And B.) Is there any level where one or more of those top three kinda plateaus? I don't really want to hit 60 or bump up to Torment or something and realize I'm suddenly getting my ass kicked by everything and there's nothing I can do about it.

  15. Most people panic because most people have never received proper driving instruction. At least, here in the US. Driver's Ed is a joke, at least the ones they have in school. So, the majority of drivers have little to no experience behind the wheel before they manage to pass their driver's test. So, essentially, that's why most of the drivers in the US (especially in the north, where there's more large cities which teach OTHER bad habits) suck ass. Their license (which they keep forever, so no further instruction required!) is their learner's, basically. I actually failed my test the first time (partly due to lack of instruction, partly because driving made, and still kinda makes, me super nervous), and hired a driving instructor afterwards. This was a VERY good decision. I still get kind of anxious in a car, but knowing the proper way to do things rather than being taught bad habits by my parents that sunk in has paid off, especially in the "avoiding accidents that would have been caused by other people" department.

That's pretty cool then. But I hope you see how weird it is that the "core audience" for fighting games are people who play them for mastery's sake rather than strictly for fun. That's unusual for a game genre, since generally there's a solid mix of casuals and competitives. Maybe that's why I've always enjoyed more "casual" fighters like Soul Calibur or Smash.

How does any of this answer my question? Raz said there'd be an influx of newer players. Unlike basically every previous Street Fighter game. Why? ^That's what I was asking. Because in my general experience the same people play Street Fighter that have always played Street Fighter. That's exactly WHAT makes it so inaccessible. You can't learn to play for shit against people that destroy you in under ten seconds. So, again, what makes this one different?

Assuming I've never played a Street Fighter game for any length of time (trying it for less than an hour and getting my shit rocked in 2.5 seconds because WHAT DA BUTTONS DO doesn't count), is it worth it to get this one? You say there will be an influx of newer players, but wouldn't that be the case for every new one and it never panned out? What makes this one different?

Make sure to watch the dub, the early Funimation voices really add a lot of charm to the series.

    Anime General Discussion

Fairy Tail got kinda cringey after a while. Season 1 of Magi is pretty good. Season 2 (of the dub at least) sucked enough in the first two episodes that I dropped it. Yu Yu Hakusho is EXCELLENT. IMO, it sets the standard for Shonen anime. By the same guy who made Hunter X Hunter (Hakusho came first), so since you liked that you'll probably like YYH. It has similar themes in its fights: Smart tactics >>> Power Levels. DBZ Kai is worth a watch, it cuts out all the shitty filler (though sadly some of the good stuff. RIP piccolo's driver's license). I can't recommend One Piece enough. I know you said you don't think you can commit to 500+ episodes, but I don't care. One Piece is great. It starts off okay, and gets better and better consistently as it goes on.
  21. This was me Of course this was BEFORE my neighbors refused to loan me a shovel (all the stores were sold out Saturday too, and the front office of the apartments were closed), and then put all the snow from shoveling out THEIR cars behind ours. So I'm still trapped. I fucking hate the people that live here.

Matchmaking seems like it'll be a step up even if it's comparatively bad. At least they're making an attempt.

Only when they deserve it. This is the first bad thing about TF2 I've said in a while, anyway. Do you disagree with what I said?

I kinda want my old house but it's definitely not a "small structure". I'll settle with heading there and grabbing my stuff.
