  1. Yeah, it was a joint effort. Of all the things Trump's done so far, this is the least worthy ofoutrage.
  2. History's Mightiest Disciple Kenichi (though it ends just as the manga starts getting really good), Hajime no Ippo, and Tiger Mask W off the top of my head. All three have protagonists that win by sheer skill when they do win, not sly underhanded tricks. The three also showcase the three different types of sports manga protagonists: Kenichi is a super duper hyper wimp at the start and slowly becomes competent and develops a set of ideal to protect over the course of the series, Ippo starts off as a JACKED AS FUCK kid who gets bullied and takes up professional boxing like a duck to water (and the focus here is on the sport of boxing, and usually not a clash of morals like the other two), and Tiger Mask W is about a professional wrestler (in a universe where all the drama AND the fighting are 100% real) that starts off hyper competent and just gets better as the series goes on. Of the three, Ippo is my favorite (and the longest), Kenichi is good but the manga is better, and Tiger Mask W is just good, extremely silly fun. Ippo has the most variety IMO (there's a lot of slice of life episodes), Kenichi is mostly the train-fight-repeat cycle with some slice of life goofiness mied into each episode, and Tiger Mask is almost entirely WRESTLE WRESTLE.
  3. The worst part is, EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER has a cooler moveset than Goku. The Spirit Ball, Destructo Disc, Every Single Attack Piccolo Has, and Big Bang Attack (hell, even Final Flash) are cooler than any attack Goku has. Not to mention their basic kung fu looking better (except for Vegeta's).

I have it and continually forget I do.
  5. Can I have "uncontroversial facts" for $600, Alex? Just because you're MORE right doesn't mean he's wrong.

Played for the first time in a while today with a friend who hasn't played in a while and someone who's pretty much never touched the game. Had fun. Dragon's Fury is pretty meh though.

I feel like this is technically correct but not really accurate. There's going to be a new movie and chances are not long after that and Gegege no Kitaro goes off we'll get another Dragonball series of some kind. Might not be titled Super but it'll exist.
  8. The Mountain Dew energy drinks are actually pretty good (the watermelon, cherry, and orange flavors anyway). They actually taste like a soda and come in good flavors. I wouldn't drink too many energy drinks though. Sugar aside, any given energy drink has about a month's worth of your natural intake of niacin. Drinking an energy drink as an every day thing gets you going AND coming on the "bad for you" front. The only reason I drink the Mountain Dew ones on occasion is because they taste good, if you need a regular caffeine pep stick with coffee or tea.
  9. I'm in a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. It works fine, I've had no major problems with it. I picked it up from Enterprise used a couple years back after my mom totaled my other car. My backup car's a bit more of a piece of shit though, it's an old Volvo convertible (not 100% sure what year). The battery dies if it's not cranked every day and the passenger side door is broken (it only opens from the inside) and the convertible top has a tendency to get stuck and not come up to latch properly after it's let down. Drives pretty good though and it's solid enough I feel like I could drive through a tank with it, so I can't complain too much. And it was really cheap. And it's a convertible, which is real nice to have here in Florida.

I'm aware of load order and incompatibilities, but i'm sure that's not it; I use the same mod loadout on both versions in the same load order and simply have less problems on SE.

Thing is, heavily scripted mods are pretty common, and Skyrim SE has NO problem running them. As an example, Open Cities is a mod I use on every playthrough...in SE. But the LE version causes serious problems that grow worse and worse over time. The game just can't handle having that much stuff in the same cell for long periods. I always used to have the issue of Oldrim crashing, like clockwork, every two hours. I don't have that issue in SE, ever. Running a bunch of overhaul mods in concert like multiple texture packs, Violens, Wildcat, etc. was a giant pain in my ass in Oldrim, but SE has no issues. SE is just a more polished all around game.

Special Edition is all around better; if you only buy one, SE is far more stable and runs a hell of a lot better than LE. Since it's a 64 bit program now the memory deterioration problem Oldrim had is basically nonexistent, so you don't end up having to start a new game all the time due to inevitable save deterioration if you have more than like 10 mods installed.

Apparently you can end people rightly in for Honor now though. All three people who play that game are probably thrilled.
  14. Sounds more like it's an opt out military service rather than mandatory; your name is automatically put in, but you can withdraw if you prefer.

Usually when they add a new Link, they remove another one. Young Link removed for Toon Link, as an example. BoTW Link will probably replace the normal adult Link.

Shit's made of stone, like pretty much everything in every time period of the human race, including today. Construction material is not the only factor in a game's color though. Look at the lighting, which tinges everything different colors in every given area. Look at the small bits of color splashed around (like the blue roofs in Heide's Tower of Flame, or the cold lights in Irithyll). Look at the things that occupy each area (red cloaked priests, green knights, red wyverns). This is just a really dumb complaint from someone that clearly hasn't played the games and has some kind of grudge.

They keep nerfing, and nerfing, and nerfing because they refuse to admit that a resurrect ability has no place in an FPS.
  24. I really like all three of SFDebris' series on George Lucas (Hero's Journey, Shadow's Journey, and Hermit's Journey) but Hermit's has a real good breakdown on WTF went wrong with the prequels (and how they were still influential movies). He doesn't do specials like this super often, but they're always great. Rise and Fall of the Comic Empire is really interesting too.
  25. I find that curling up with a good book and a big ol' cup of tea always does me right. Or if that fails I just put on some music that has good nostalgic connotations for me (like certain Kingdom Hearts tracks, Dearly Beloved and The Other Promise most especially), cry a bit, and then pick myself up. Dunno if that will help you, but it does me good every few months.
